Would all of you throw me down— this leaning wall, this tottering fence?” Psalm 62:3

fence2A gate is a port of entry, it gives us access, but we must be welcomed.  Gates can be like a turnstile, or a revolving door that allows us to come and go as we please.  The gateway is often visible from afar because of a glorious archway or a set of pylons to draw those who desire to enter or exit.  The gatekeeper is a posted Sentry, a Security Official that determines entrance into the land of the eternal.  “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”  Psalm 100:4 d0d019c32f74752aac567c3fe374d0ff “The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.” Deuteronomy 33:25 34433444885_bd34ba3524_b“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”  Matthew 7:13 34375527832_50235434e0_b“He stood, and shook the earth; he looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains crumbled and the age-old hills collapsed— but he marches on forever.” Habakkuk 3:6 fence1“He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and he has given us a wall of protection…”  Ezra 9:9
