Watch her on youtube below so you can hear from this university Engineering student how she lost weight and got happy! The book that Kellie claims that helped her change her negative mind set was “Ten days to self-esteem” by David D Burns. Application is key, listen to thoughts, catch the complaint, notice your thought habit to ridicule self or others, be aware of how your thoughts affect your mood and the joy or doom that is in the room. Recognize your negative thoughts of merciless ridicule. Do not lie to yourself, it is NOT them…it is YOU. Mistakes happen, let it go… train your mind to ask self “what is good about this?” in all situations you must choose to flip the switch in your head that looks for what is wrong with this… to what is GOOD about this?  Look in the mirror and ask God to allow you to see what He sees.  LORD, SHOW ME WHAT IS GOOD IN ME?16602608_10204728533130726_6773463194664357403_n Conscientiously…overtime…your thoughts will cease to be so cynical….and joy will emerge in full bloom and you will be the light.  People will notice a change and your light will draw others to the AMAZING new you! In time, when we apply God’s warning to “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all…..Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, 29541760_609343769404176_3596552758101498016_nwhatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.”  Yes, yes, yes…when we are obedient to capture every thought… “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”  Nothing will be able to bother you when you agree with God’s thoughts about you and others!  Bottom line…don’t sweat the small stuff…let it go, and think whatever is lovely! Rejoice always, go ahead and be childlike and sing “Hakuna Matata” God’s living Word quoted from Philippians chapter 4 and 2 Corinthians 10 NIV.  Watch the video on youtube and fast forward to the 15 minute mark. Learn how this young student went from fat and depressed to healthy and happy.

  1. In 1990ish my son Jason was strung out on drugs and a bartender in Stockton, Calif said to him “You need to see your momma!” So Jason drove from Stockton to Houston, Texas to see me. He crashed on my floor and I nursed him back to sanity. He acknowledged his addiction and then confessed “I’m going to be a dad and I need to get sober”. We went to a Houston Rockets game, we played miniature golf, we just hung out, we prayed, we laughed and then after a week or so we went to see The Lion King. WOW what an impact the movie had on both of us. “No worries Momma” Jason said…and from then on when life got tough, we would laugh and sing “Kahuna Matata” — The other BIG IMPACT, and last movie we watched together was “The War Room”. That was in August of 2015, Jason went back to church, got baptized, got the best job of his life, then he went home to heaven in April 2016. THINKING POSITIVE and thinking the reality of ETERNAL LIFE is a wonderful, grace filled promise that this Momma praises Jesus for.
