Unplugged from the news, the nasty noise of blame, I am well placed, with ears to hear what the Spirit is singing. The sweet symphony of a gentle breeze rustling through the trees beckons my consideration of Who blows this unseen wind? The world is quick to finger point at science, to cast a spell about man made assumptions. Such untruths befall me not—– I remain unaffected by the turbulence of unsolved mysteries. Like a placid pond, unruffled by the current buzz of discord, I embrace the lush hush with ordinary eyes and ears. Slowed down, I am refreshed by the Truth, that stillness never stopped God, or time. A young girl sat at the feet of her
teacher, listening carefully to every word he spoke while her sister Martha grumbled in the kitchen, too busy to pause for Truth. The world moans within the wound of racing to hear the latest mayhem. Yet life is more than avoiding calamity. God told us how we might live more abundantly. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself….Do this and you will live.” It is not urgent, or helpful to fill the mind with the ongoing brawl of what “he did, or she said”. To live fully in my small Mexican village necessitates me to remember, to recount what Jesus has done in me, through me, and for me. The truth is, Jesus loved me first, and it is the Love He is, the love He lavished on me that fills my heart and soul to overflowing. It is with His love that I can love others. It is His grace, mercy, and kindness that I can pass on. Oh praise our Lord Jesus as He is worthy of all our devotion, simply for Who He is, the Son of God, and the King of kings. Let us smash our own reflection with great expectation of seeing the love of Jesus when we look into the mirror. “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12 — Dear reader, be stilled, slow down and chew on the following words. “He must be come more, as I become less.” John 3:30
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. Absolute Truth
For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good
and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” James 1: 2-26 – What did Jesus say about Himself? Read John 17:5 and John 5:39-46 – What did Jesus say about John the Baptist? A wild looking man who ate bugs, who never made a spectacle of himself, but who consistently pointed to Jesus. Matthew 11:11
REMEMBER: Heaven and hell are about who we know……NOT what we do!!! Know Jesus, Know Peace. “And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God.” John 17:3

Jesus said “I am the bread of Life” – outside the life of Christ, people are spiritually dead and cannot comprehend what the Spirit is saying through the scriptures. Consider the scholar Nicodemus, a man who could quote scripture, a man who studied scriptures…yet, Nicodemus did not understand when Jesus told him “you must be born again”. Religious people must get out of their prideful DENIAL and surrender what they think they understand about God and allow the Spirit to speak to their hearts. “”You will seek Me, but NOT find Me, and where I am you cannot come.” Proud Christians, and proud Jews listen to what the Spirit is saying. John 8:58 “Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” The promise of Jesus that we will understand all things when the person of the Holy Spirit comes. John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare to you. John 6:43-52 “Jesus answered them ‘DO NOT murmur among yourselves. No one can can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ THEREFORE, everyone who has heard and LEARNED from the Father…comes to Me. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who BELIEVES in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.” IF a person has NOT learned from the Father, in other words, learned the meaning of scripture from the Holy Spirit, that person was not taught by God, and that person cannot accept the WHOLE TRUTH of Who Jesus was, and is, and is to come! Jesus said “Glorify Me in Your presence, with the glory I had with You, before the world began.” John 17:5

Jesus tells us what ETERNAL LIFE is: “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3 — “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” John 3:36 — ” I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned.” — “The Spirit give life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” John 6:63 — “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.” John 9:41 — TRUTH IS: JESUS is the BREAD of LIFE. Eat these words, digest them, metabolize them, let them flow through your mind, heart and body. Be changed by what the Holy Spirit is saying through these holy words. Be nourished, be fortified, be connected to Truth, be in relationship with Jesus, be sustained, be fully satisfied, be strengthened, and be used by God as His instrument of good for His glory.

MIRACLES are mentioned in the bible as WONDERS that evoke Awe! SIGNS – which point to the Truth, Jesus! POWER – Displays of God’s might, His absolute control and authority WORKS – Evidence of God in daily sunrise, lightning, stars, the miracle of a flowers bloom. John the Baptist did not ever produce a miracle, a sign, a wonder, but his work was to point to Jesus as the One with all authority and power.
