Joy Journey

9aac5f1a94c2e5afHave you taken a journey for joy lately?  Even when we are locked down, we have the freedom to roam the world in the secluded quiet of our prayers.  Make it fun, get creative, and decorate a place at home in such a way that it calls you to “come” and spend time alone with God.  Alone with time to chill in His Presence, we invite Him to still us as we examine our hearts for anything that may prevent Him from joining us. “What dominates my thinking?” Am I one of the Frozen Chosen who allows world news to place us into the freezer of fear? What are you reading? Whatever is lovely, true, noble and decent?  Apply Truth to your Thought Diet. Listen to your thoughts, catch the complaint, notice any thought habits of self ridicule? Be aware of how your thoughts affect your mood. Do you bring joy or doom into the room? Direct any merciless ridicule to be gone NOW! Do not lie to yourself, it is NOT them or they, it is us and our stinking thinking that rules our level of joy. Mistakes happen, let it go… train your mind to ask self “what is good about this?” in all situations you must choose to flip the switch in your head that looks for what is wrong with this… to what is GOOD about this?  Ask God to allow you to see what He sees in you? 0e66768adf2585e8

Conscientiously…overtime…your thoughts will cease to be so cynical….and joy will emerge in full bloom and you will be the light.  People will notice a change and your light will draw others to the AMAZING new you! In time, when we apply God’s warning to “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all…..Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, 29541760_609343769404176_3596552758101498016_nwhatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.”  Yes, yes, yes…when we are obedient to capture every thought… “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”  Nothing will be able to bother you when you agree with God’s thoughts about you and others!  Bottom line…don’t sweat the small stuff…let it go, and think whatever is lovely! Rejoice always, go ahead and be childlike and sing “Hakuna Matata” God’s living Word quoted from Philippians chapter 4 and 2 Corinthians 10 NIV.  Take time like the butterfly to “be still” and know God is always at work. He can transform a caterpillar into a whole new creature, only when the caterpillar settles down, forms a cocoon, and allows God to knit together a brand new thing with wings! Fly like a bumble bee straight into the fragrance of God’s Word and suck in the milk and honey!  Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

  1. “Do NOT be afraid for Iam with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 😍 To be used to build God’s kingdom we must be confident that God is on our side, and that supernaturally He operates through us even when we feel inadequate or overwhelmed. The day I got the call that my son was dead, I curled up in a ball and God comforted me by allowing me to hear my son’s voice “Don’t worry momma, I’m walking with Jesus” This scripture became real. “I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” My Father was there with me, comforting me in a way that no human could. At the moment of deep sorrow, I did not cry out to God, He knew what I needed and provided. When tragedy strikes we all yearn to know what to do. Jesus appeared to me in a dream and asked me to take a snapshot of Him. He asked, and “Behind the Curtain” was written. ❤️
