Cool Thoughts

Imagine once being a delicate, unique, stunning little snowflake … then in a blink of an eye, you begin to glisten more brightly than ever before — as you become absolutely purified of your old nature… in order to actually stand before Jesus white as snow! Instantly what you once were …suddenly transfigures into a glorified body — you are then transported above all that is seen, into the unseen. Ok, that is hard to imagine, but JUST BELIEVE that one day, as a believer in Jesus Christ, what God says will happen! The Spirit wrote through JOB “Have you ever visited the storerooms, where I keep the snow and the hail?” and David wrote “Remove my sin, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow,” Psalms 51:7

At Pentecost God sent the promised Holy Spirit! Charles Spurgeon wrote about the two symbols used on that glory filled day! “Carefully observe how the Holy Spirit teaches us by two symbols. When the Holy Spirit came from the Father to his Son Jesus — it was seen as a dove. The Father’s anointing upon Jesus was that of peace: He needed no tongue of flame, for Jesus was already aflame with love. When the Holy Spirit was bestowed by the Son of God upon His disciples it was as breath, a wind.  “He breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Ghost.”

In order to enjoy life more abundantly, the servants of the Lord Jesus need the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as promised the Father sent the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. He was imparted unto us because we need Him to walk in His power. Now that we have the indwelt Holy Spirit, He quickens us, He teaches, leads and speaks to us through a word from others, through a dream, vision, through an inclination as we incline our ear to Him. His intent is to use us to bless others. He is ever present, and we hear His voice as a wind, which wafts through the words we speak. His fire is felt in our hearts and our words are filled with a flame that sears the souls of those who listen and receive the blessing.

Invite the Holy Spirit to speak through you, expect Him to give you words that will draw others to seek God. Spirit filled words come forth by the breath of God, and they penetrate hearts. A person may not want to listen, and they can fix their minds dead set against any word of God, but a Spirit filled word penetrates the heart — even if their minds resist. The Word of God never comes back void. Scripture will set the souls of men blazing with desire after God. The Holy Spirit dwells within us waiting for us to ask “what would you have me say, where would you have me go?” In this way, we are walking in obedience to the Spirit’s leading. Trust the notion, the idea, the prompt, the word given unto you. We gave access to His power not merely for ourselves, but for fiery exchanges in dealing with others. Holy Spirit, even now, be the rushing mighty wind and tongue of fire, for the world hath great need. The world is polluted with the deceivers lies. People are stuck in the mud of their minds, sinking deeper into a pit of sin. This world needs a refreshing, a transforming wind to turn hearts back to God. There is neither health, hope nor light except that it comes from the Holy Spirit. Lord, open the hearts and ears of man that they may hear what the Spirit is saying. “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” Ephesians 1:13 Our Words are important! Bless Don’t Curse

Imagine what a glorified body will be like! When we are suddenly changed, will we leave our clothes behind? The Word of God says the saints will be dressed in white and given a white stone. Fashion will no longer matter, a one size fits all body of believers will be rejoicing without a care about what they look like! Charles Spurgeon wrote further “Some people seem to believe in the Spirit of God giving utterance only. They look upon instruction, teaching, help or direction as a secondary importance. Dear, dear me, what trouble comes when we act upon that theory! How the empty vessels clatter, and rattle, and sound! Men in such case utter a wonderful amount of nothing, and even when that nothing is set on fire it does not come to much. I dread a revival of that sort, where the first thing and the last thing is everlasting talk. Those who teach ought to be themselves taught of the Lord; how can they communicate that which they have not received? Where the Spirit of God is truly at work He first fills and then gives utterance: that is His way. Oh that you and I were at this moment filled with the Holy Ghost. “Full!” When a person is full of the Holy Ghost, there is no room for anything else. At Pentecost those present were too completely occupied by the heavenly power to have room for the desires of the flesh. Fear was banished, every minor motive was expelled: the Spirit of God flooded their very being, He drove out of them everything that was extraneous. They had many faults and many infirmities before, but on that day, when they were filled with the Spirit of God, faults and infirmities were no more perceptible. They became different men from what they had ever been before: men full of God are the reverse of men full of self. The difference between an empty man and a full man is something very wonderful. Have an empty vessel pass a thirsty person an empty cup, what a mockery it is as it touches his lips; but have a FULL vessel pass an overflowing cup with refreshing water, and oh what a blessing it is when it reaches the thirsty man’s lips!” The Inerrant Word of God
