A QUESTION that baffles people today. “What is truth?” Ask yourself to answer that based on your current beliefs. Where can a person find truth today? Who can we trust to tell us the truth? If we ask earnest questions like “What happens when we die?” Do we really trust God at His Word? How do you know for certain that you BELIEVE what you believe? Do people truly want to know the truth, or are they simply satisfied with what they think they believe based on something they read? When one is summoned to court to testify, do we believe what they say …is the truth? Does a jury determine truth justly?

People today have many questions and they want the truth! “What happens when we enter eternity? Does time ever end? When there are no more clocks to watch, what will we be doing?” Some define insanity as doing or believing the same old thing, over and over and expecting different results. Within the society in which we live, what narrative are we bombarded with? Have people today lost touch with reality, that they do not know whether they are male or female? Has the jury delivered the verdict based on truth or a lie?

What is our reality? What is real and what is not real, untrue? Who is lying to us? Can God lie? Again, we must ask ourselves “What is truth?” What have we been programmed by the world to believe? This is the question for this moment in time for all of us. Many Christians today only think in terms of what God will do for them in this life. This life is microscopic compared to what our Father has in store for us throughout eternity. Eventually every one of our lives will end when NO MORE TIME on earth is allocated to us. Each of us individually passes out of time into a new realm, into a eternal realm. Eternity is not just a very long period of time. Eternity is a total different realm of living, forever and ever.

God’s word says in Psalm 129 that every day of our lives was recorded in His book before we were even born. Do we believe ALL of what God says? Why would God have allowed us to suffer?

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” What joy surpasses a vacation in paradise? What would the eternal weight of God’s glory press into our experience? Knowing this, believers in God’s word are able to praise God when afflictions arrive. Our Father tells us the truth: “In this world we will have problems.” So, when we feel the heat from the fire that purifies us, we hold onto the HOPE we have in Jesus, that He has gone to prepare a place for us and that He will return to fetch us to be with Him eternally. “While we do not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen.” In other words our affliction only works good in our life while we keep our eyes on the eternal.

When we take our eyes off Jesus and what God says, when we simply focus on what is wrong in this world, we begin to lose HOPE and FAITH in God. The prince of the air is hard at work promoting lies to steal our faith and hope in God. God gives us a glimpse of the realm of what is unseen (the invisible) in the book of Revelation. The eternal realm is revealed to encourage us to choose to obey GOD now. Everything that we encounter in the stream of time passing…. is temporary. When our Father asks us to be watchful, He is not suggesting that we depend on a clock. He asks us to watch the signs of the times.

“We live in a fallen world. IF we are honest, in the world as we know it today, there is much more misery than there is happiness. There is much more strife than there is peace, there is much more sickness than there is health. Let us NOT be painting a pretty picture of the world because that is NOT the truth. The truth is that we live in a fallen world, a world that has been marred, corrupted, and tainted by sin. Thank God our final destiny is not in this world. Phil 1:9-11 “This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to DISCERN what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” God promised and delivered unto us the Holy Spirit who will lead us into all truth. A.W. Tozer wrote: “The Holy Spirit is not only a Being having another mode of existence, but He Himself is a Person, with all the qualities and powers of personality. He is not matter, but He is substance. The Holy Spirit is often thought of as a beneficent wind that blows across the Church. If you think of the Holy Spirit as being literally a wind, a breath, then you think of Him as an individual.

But the Holy Spirit has will and intelligence and feeling and knowledge and sympathy and ability to love and see and think and hear and speak. Many of us have grown up on the theology that accepts the Holy Spirit as a Person, and even as a divine Person, but many believers still do not call on Him, seek His counsel, ask for revelation or guidance and they act without waiting on Him. Jesus promised to send another exactly like Himself and at Pentecost the Holy Spirit entered 120 people, and today the Holy Spirit enters and changes hearts of all who surrender to His power and authority. No scholar with the dust of centuries upon him could convince me to believe a doctrine unless he can give me chapter and verse. In Psalm 139 the hymnist attributes omnipresence to the Holy Ghost. He says, “Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?” (139:7) and he develops throughout the 139th Psalm, in language that is as beautiful as a sunrise and as musical as the wind through the willows, the idea that the Spirit is everywhere, having the attributes of Deity. He must be Deity, for no creature could have the attributes of Deity. In Hebrews 9:14 the Holy Spirit is attributed that which is never attributed to an archangel, a seraphim, a cherubim, an angel, an apostle, a martyr, a prophet, a patriarch, or any person that has ever been created by the hand of God. It says, “through the eternal Spirit”. Every theologian knows that eternal is an attribute of no creature. The angels are NOT eternal because all created things had a beginning. Jesus says “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” Our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all three eternal beings, without beginning or end. The word “eternal” establishes the fact that the Holy Spirit never had a beginning. He is not a created being at all, but He is God. Therefore, when the Holy Ghost says “the eternal Spirit” about Himself He is calling Himself God.”
The WISE seek the truth. It is good for us to be pressured by the Holy Spirit, into considering what the truth is. Hebrews 13:14 “We have no continuing city here but we look for the one which is to come.” In other words we are just passing through this life into eternity, our permanent destiny. With a world view, NOT the kingdom of God perspective, people quickly sink into the darkness of a fake reality. With a healthy fear of God we must look at His view of reality and His plan to bring us into eternity with Him. The clock moves, it is not permanent, but eternity is. How you live now, what you believe now, does determine your eternal destination. Watching the signs of the times, includes whatever is happening in Israel. Nations will be judged by the way they treat God’s chosen location for the return of Jesus. Be encouraged by what God says will happen. His plan is to evacuate His people before the great war coming. Who is the Antichrist? Who is the Liar? A leader shows up and persuasively lies about a one world order. Pastor Jack Hibbs in Calif tells us the truth.
Our predictions, our goals, our words of knowledge, will all come to an end. We will not take them with us; they’re only for this world, only for a blinking eye of time. The one thing that will go with us into eternity is our soul. Our life takes us through trials of fire that polishes us like gold, or based on response to God, we just burn in the fire eternally. Our character will determine what we will be throughout eternity. Steadfast, striving to honor God, or just to satisfy ourselves? HISTORY: On April 30, 1789, George Washington placed his hand upon a Bible and took the oath as the first President of the United States. Abraham Lincoln referred to the “Almighty ruler of nations,” in his 2nd inauguration at the end of the Civil War in 1865 — Lincoln’s speech famously honored God in Washington, D.C. — Ronald Reagan’s 2nd inaugural mentions God 8 times. Both of Obama’s inaugural speeches mentioned God 5 times. Who will hear God say… “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:23 – God says that He will honor ONLY those who honored Him!

Derek Prince said “In my lifetime, I’ve seen all the gifts of the Spirit misused at one time or another. But that has not caused me to despise the gifts of the Spirit. It just makes me more careful as to how I use them. The same is true of biblical prophecy. We need it because without the written Word of God we stumble in the dark.” The world in which we live today is undoubtedly a dark place and according to prophecy, it will continue to get darker. People can be miraculously healed, but even a Bible quoting Christian may walk in the dark delusion and deceive himself.

Picture our Father leaning forward with His arms outstretched, saying “Come to Me” let’s talk, what are your questions? Ask God anything and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. REMEMBER: Pride is the sin that God hates. IF we are too proud to ask questions, then how will God reveal truth to you? If we are more proud of our accomplishments than we are of God’s word and promises, do we stand a chance of spending eternity in the holy presence of God? IF we dishonor God by disputing His word, then our holy Father has the right to judge. We don’t want to hear God say “I never knew you”. If we have not acted on the truth that He reveals in His word, what do you believe His just judgement shall be towards you? Our Father reveals Himself through His Word, and by the deposit of the Holy Spirit, He gives us understanding. Whatever God reveals to you, obey it, act on it and give Him thanks and all the glory.

When we obey His word, we will be surprised by what God will show us next. The glory of God will shine upon us and in the midst of the dense darkness that is surrounding us on all sides, God will use those that snatch up those who have shined His light. There are no men that can be elected that can lead us out of the darkness. As God’s word says, life on earth will sink deeper into darkness as the prince of the air, Satan himself seeks to destroy any faith in God Almighty. The parable of the wheat and the weeds is about a farmer who sowed good seed in his field and then in the night an enemy came and sowed weeds. The weeds looked like wheat but there’s just one thing, they don’t have any fruit, they don’t produce anything that’s worth having. The workers in the field asked: Shall we go and pull up the weeds? The Farmer said, No, because when you try to pull up the weeds you may pull up some of the wheat. Let them both grow together until harvest. Jesus says the harvest is at the end of the age. He says at the end of the age the angels will come forth and sever the wicked from among the righteous. The wicked will be bound up in bundles and cast into the fire, the righteous will shine as sons in the kingdom of their Father. Make certain that you are viewed by the angels as wheat and not weeds.

Rev 22:10-12: “He who is unrighteous, let him be unrighteous still; Who is filthy let him be filthy still; who is righteous, let him be righteous still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.” A truly remarkable statement since it comes from God. If you want to be unrighteous, go on, you don’t have long, live it up. Jesus says in the next breath: “Behold, I am coming quickly.” The wicked and the righteous are side by side. The wicked get more wicked; the righteous get more righteous. We cannot remain static. You have to be going forward or backward. “Then they will see the Son of man coming on a cloud with power and great glory.” Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, but it will be too late for those who denied Him before He returns. William Barkley said “There can be no salvation without God, but what God offers, man must receive by faith. It is never God who withholds salvation; it is always man who deprives himself of it.” The Holy Spirit is a deposit on our eternal life in heaven. He is our Teacher but we must humble ourselves and ask Him to give us understanding, courage and wisdom.

Jesus said. Lawlessness will abound. What’s the result? The love of many Christians will grow cold. Under the pressure of the lawlessness in the world some of us will let our love for God grow cold. Verse 13: “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Get the TRUTH, read GOD’s word and be set free from fear.

Just consider a scene in life. You are looking at your daughter or son, you blink, and suddenly you are lifted up, your body totally changed, and before you is the glorious, gorgeous, shining face of Jesus. In a moment, the twinkling of an eye, we shall be totally transformed. Do you trust God at His word, and that we will be transformed into our glorified bodies? 2 Corinthians 5:10. “ For we, Christians, must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” Everything about us will be totally known, there’ll be no secrets. We’ll all be made manifest before the judgment seat of Christ. Jesus sits on the judgment seat to judge believers. We are judged and given crowns for our beliefs and works.

Rev 20:15 “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” The Truth Project. What is Truth? The Bible mentions the return of Jesus 329 times. It is the 2nd-most mentioned concept in Scripture. If the return of Jesus is mentioned that many times in God’s Word, it is a fact we need to pay attention to. You’ve told your friends and family, “I believe Jesus Christ is Lord and watching the signs, I believe He is returning soon.” People hear and believe or they hear and mock God’s word. Maybe they believe Jesus existed, but they don’t believe He is the Son of God or in His Resurrection or purpose in returning. WHAT IS TRUTH? Jesus will return as Judge after all have heard His plan of salvation. With the worldwide web, most all have had opportunity. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Soon His return in glory will put to rest all doubt about God’s sovereignty. Proverbs 3:7 AMP “Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord with reverent awe and obedience and turn entirely away from evil.”

GREAT TRUTHS TO HOLD ONTO: “To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” Jude 1:24-25 The Truth remains: Nothing can separate us from His love; no one can snatch us from His hand. Romans 8:39 “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” In the New Testament age, when someone dies who has been made righteous in Christ, the sleeping spirit goes immediately into the presence of the Lord. For those believers still alive, we remain until we physically die… or until that twinkling of an eye experience, when we are transported in our glorified bodies into the holy Presence of Jesus. Those Jesus said He never knew will suffer greatly during the tribulation. Revelation 9:5-6 “They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.” AMEN

His time in Washington DC studying how the USA was founded on God’s Word inspired this series. Dr Tackett stimulates students of truth to think and he uses Scripture to show us what the answer is according to God’s Word. I’ve never had such a TRUTH packed time of learning. If you don’t want to change your thinking and actions to agree with God’s Word, then this course is not for you.

Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”

“Earthly marriage is a shadow, an echo of the true and ultimate marriage. The purpose of marriage is not to replace heaven but to prepare us for it.” The human institution of marriage culminates in Heaven. God doesn’t abandon His purpose for marriage. He fulfills it. Will we still be married in Heaven?
Yes and no. The Bible describes us as the Bride of Christ and says we will be married to the Lord. So that kind of marriage will definitely exist in heaven. But that’s not the heart behind this common question. If you’ve been married to someone for 25 or 50 years, will you still be together in the afterlife? That’s what people want to know. I believe you will still have relationships in Heaven that you had on earth. The Bible says you will receive a glorified body when you relocate to Heaven and ultimately to the new earth that God will establish. But that won’t represent the erasure of history. No, it will be the culmination of history. In other words, we can’t take material things with us into Heaven, but we will take relationships with us. I don’t believe our long-term relationships will end. Those parents whose children died prior to them, I believe we will know each other in Heaven. We may not technically be there as husband and wife, mom or dad, but we will still be there in relationship—and it will be richer than ever.” Pastor Jimmy Evans
