A Note of Hope

He knows where we are!

The mailman came and delivered a timely post. What might we find from the upward North? The weather may change, but God’s Word nope — not ever! Our Father sent us His letter that overflows with hope. He sent us a type of peace that is eternal. He gave us His Son, which makes less sense to some. A sacrificial price paid — that the Prince of Peace may come. All this God did to enjoy relationship with us. Jesus said that His peace was not like the temporary kind that the world gives.

His peace allows us to be still in confidence, to be calm and rest in the midst of chaos. We cannot attribute this kind of peace to anything other than the never departing Presence of the Spirit of God. While others freak out in the same storm, His gift of peace inside is — our unwrapped treasure of faith and grace. We believed in God in advance of our trials. We embrace faith and trust that His Word does not return void. Our Father faithfully reverses, repairs and restores all that was lost as He prepares us for His new, more excellent thing.

“I leave the gift of peace with you—My peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” John 14:27 TPT Jesus is our gift giver, He gave us His all. Matthew 2:10-11 “When the wisemen saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding joy. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” ❤️

Luke 2:6-11 “Mary gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for ALL the people. Today in the town of David a SAVIOR has been born to you; HE is the MESSIAH, the Lord.”

The challenge daily is to capture every thought and filter out the lies. Ask self “Do I genuinely believe that I am wonderfully made?” If somebody rejects me, do I quickly choose to remember that God pursued me, bought me, equipped me, adopted and sealed me as His beloved? Am I walking out my faith in what my Creator says about me? Why would I ever waste time comparing myself to another? God loves us all equally. The GOOD NEWS about who I am “in Christ” is amazing and it is confirmed in many unchanging Scriptures. My part is to BELIEVE Psalm 139:14 ! Believing in the Word of God that is tucked inside. All day, everyday — regardless of feelings, I choose to remain active in FAITH. Matthew 10:13 ❤️ I am His and I have great value to the King!

Once upon a time I purchased an entire box of Christmas cards for 75 cents at the creaky wooden store Kress. The Alley insurance office was in the front room and we had rolls of 2 cent postage stamps. When I was about 6 years old, we lived on Lincoln Street. I remember having a crush on a man who came by daily and wore a uniform. Our mailman used to let me walk his way around the neighborhood. He was a kind man that wore a huge leather pouch stuffed with old fashioned written mail. We also had a milkman who delivered glass bottles of milk and fresh butter. This picture brought in all those warm memories. Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” ❤️ Tis the season of remembering.

Old cards, great memories

Remember the card board pop tops on glass milk bottles? Our milk was fresh squeezed off the cows on our family farm in Modesto, CA where I was born. Remember when…..is FUN!

  1. The song that rocked my soul at QLBC. Sing praise ” Above all powers, above all kings, above all nature and all created things. Above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began.… Above all kingdoms, above all thrones, above all wonders the world has ever known. Above all wealth and treasures of the earth…there’s no way to measure what You’re worth… Crucified, laid behind a stone, You lived to die, rejected and alone. Like a rose, trampled on the ground, You took the fall and thought of me, above all.… Above all powers, above all kings, above all nature and all created things. Above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began… Like a rose, trampled on the ground, You took the fall and thought of me above all.
REJOICE and celebrate the expectation of what He is bringing in advance of His coming. Keep praying, keep believing, keep expecting to hear that trumpet blast. Jesus is the reason for a season, a set aside time, for His set apart people.
