Forgiveness

The sermon on the Mount was one important, and recorded sermon that our Lord Jesus preached. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Those with a heart free from guilt, shame, envy, bitterness and unforgiveness shall not only see God, but they will spend eternity with Him. What a motivation to FORGIVE quickly!

Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we give You permission to examine our hearts for any buried resentment, unforgiveness, envy, anger, self-pity, self-condemnation or bitterness. As the Spirit brings to mind ANYTHING that does not represent God’s kingdom thinking, we agree today to pray through those memories with forgiveness and personal repentance. We purpose and choose to set aside this time to honor God and we ask that the Holy Spirit be in charge of our time in prayer. In the name of Jesus, we bind all evil, tormenting spirits and command them to NOT interfere. AMEN

We wisely choose to guard our HEARTS by ceasing to listen to foolish talk. Resist the devil, refuse to listen to gossip, or words of folly. Proverbs 4:23-27 “Above all else, guard your heart, for EVERYTHING you do FLOWS from it. Keep your MOUTH free of PERVERSITY; keep corrupt TALK far from your lips. Let your eyes LOOK straight ahead; FIX your GAZE directly before you. Give CAREFUL thought to the PATHS for your feet and be STEADFAST in ALL your ways. Do NOT turn to the right or the left; KEEP your foot from EVIL.” 2 Peter 2:21-22 We are the BRIDE of CHRIST. Revelation 19:7-8 It is a righteous act to confess thoughts of pride. We become more like Jesus each time we humble ourselves and obey His Word. “Forgive others, and be forgiven.” The 4 part prayer is designed to protect us in the ongoing spiritual battle for our souls.

Why does our Father instruct “Capture every thought?” Was that thought that flew through based on truth or envy? Was that thought meant to encourage or slander based on greed? Our unspoken words of pride, envy, or hate are what defile us. Therefore we choose to come clean and humbly repent.

The goal is to learn to forgive everyone for everything. By reading “Biblical Foundations of Freedom” by Art Mathais we learn to forgive ourselves and to receive God’s forgiveness. Biblically, our Father asks us to forgive 70 X 7 because He knows our sinful nature. Our Father also asks us to pray continually because we are in process, and we NEED wisdom and courage to do the right thing. Jesus explained this way; “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants…The master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Matthew 18-23-35 The Four Part Prayer of Wellspring explained in this post Humble and Holy

Forgiven, we walk in FREEDOM and in the power of the Holy Spirit. As mature Christians we use our discernment to distinguish good from evil. Our senses have been trained by our submission to the Holy Spirit. We lean on Him, and NOT our own understanding. According to Hebrews 6:1-12 we are to depart from elementary school and depend on the Holy Spirit’s leading and obey. We humble ourselves and teach others by our example of mercy when we forgive everyone for everything. We become companions with the Holy Spirit and we serve the Kingdom of God with our quick forgiveness.

Just like “there is an app for that” Wellspring has “a prayer for that.” Bitterness, Fear, Trauma, Self-Hatred, Confusion, Depression, Suicide, Rejection, and the Occult. According to God if we neglect His counsel, and if we do not accept correction, our Father will laugh at our calamity and He will mock us when terror strikes. God tells us to FORGIVE others so that we are FORGIVEN and He means it. Proverbs 1:24-31

God sets the standard for how we are to think and forgive. We CANNOT forgive that which we DENY. A follower of Christ NEVER wants to hear Jesus say “I never knew you.”

Satan accuses the brethren before God’s throne, day and night.

Nothing happens until we pray. We hold CAPTIVE every thought

BBF teaches us the weapons of our ENEMY to equip us. We get OFFENDED, we lash out in ANGER, but the ROOT of BITTERNESS already began to BUILD a WALL between us and our LORD. Our FATHER tells us to THINK on these things. Joy, Peace, Kindness, whatever is PRAISEWORTHY. IF we RUMINATE on WHATEVER they did to us for 6 minutes = a 21 HOUR open door to sickness — CONSIDER the damage to our immune system within 24 hours of ruminating in Satan’s stinking thinkin kingdom? We have allowed Satan to place his foothold in us, and for 4 days we are subject to his attack. Be QUICK to FORGIVE yourself for entertaining bitterness, resentment, anger, or fear.

Have you ever said “I will never trust anybody ever again!” The Word of God has a chapter on wisdom. “Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.” Proverbs 23:12 NIV

“IF we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 Our forgiveness is contingent on TWO conditions. 1) We must forgive those who have hurt us. 2) We must confess our sins to God.

“1 John 1:10 “If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us.” Jeremiah 9:8 “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”

IF our Father does NOT discipline us, then are we truly His legitimate kids? According to Hebrews 12:5-9 we must NOT take His discipline lightly. Thank God for His discipline.

The Lord disciplines those He loves. Humbly, patiently we make an EFFORT to keep UNITY of the SPIRIT through a bond of PEACE. We are commanded to FORGIVE each other.

Our Father desires our obedience over sacrifice

Do you want to see the Lord? As partakers, our part is to purify ourselves by repentance. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Our Father is slow to anger and quick to forgive

Why would God ask us to forgive others 490 times in one day? Because He knows our propensity to sin, our human nature to gossip, get angry, and shift blame to others. How destructive is envy? It is one of Satan’s ways of getting followers of his way.

As a DOER of His Word, we obey and pray continuously. Wellspring prayers are a GUIDE to lead people in scripted prayers so that we are thorough, missing nothing. The words in Wellspring prayers carry no special meaning, however, Wellspring prayers of repentance and forgiveness do contain elements that obey Scripture. 2 Cor 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” To pull down bad habits of stinking thinking, and to cancel Satan’s grip, we choose words to recite with the authority of the blood of Christ.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16  A 60 second prayer could release you from a generational curse, a tormenting spirit, bitterness, shame, guilt and depression. We WELCOME the Holy Spirit to REMIND us of anything that prevents us from living the FULLNESS of what God has for us. Is there anyone you need to forgive? In your family tree, how many alcoholics, how many divorces? In your life, how many hospitalizations, or traumas? God tells us that there are blessings and curses. We seek His blessing of peace as we confess whatever the Holy Spirit reveals….He heals.

It is a well established fact from Scripture that many diseases have underlying root causes that have to do with how we have always thought, spoken and communicated in our relationships with God and others. “CONFESS YOUR SINS TO ONE ANOTHER, and PRAY for one another, that ye may be healed.” James 5:16

Return to this PAGE each time you experience insomnia, a twinge of jealousy, bitterness, or guilt. There are many ways, daily, that Satan tries to seduce us into self-pity or revenge. One is Perfectionism

IF we have been forgiven, IF we love God, IF we are grateful, IF we seek His counsel, IF we welcome Jesus to be our Savior, and to deliver us from evil, then let us LOOK to the Holy Spirit to show us His truth.

FORGIVENESS: Romans 2:4-8 “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.” Read Biblical Foundations to Freedom, by Art Mathias broadens our view on FORGIVENESS as God would have it. Deal and Heal

Our Father asks us to CAPTURE every thought so that we can keep short accounts and walk in forgiveness. “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” Hosea 2:6 DO YOU WANT MORE OF WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU? IF we have a form of godliness that denies the power of God, IF we talk about the power of Jesus, but the Holy Spirit does not give us understanding or wisdom today, then somewhere along the line the spiritual attack came from the Spirit of Unbelief. Consider Peter and his life of forgiveness. 1st and 2nd PETER

Jonathan Edwards was an American revivalist preacher, and Congregationalist theologian. A study was done on 1,200 of his descendants. Jonathan was born on October 5, 1703 in Windsor, Connecticut. At age 13 Jonathan entered Yale University and kept notebooks known as “The Mind.” He graduated seminary and became a pastor. Jonathan was the 5th child of 11 in his family. He often retreated to the woods to pray. He married Sarah, whose father was the founder of Yale University. In a study of their descendants we find 13 presidents of colleges; 65 professors; 100 attorneys; 85 officials in the military; 80 held public positions; 3 senators; 3 mayor’s and one Vice President of the United States. Within this couple’s life of faith, a generational blessing produced a heritage of contributions, with zero debt to society.

In the same study of opposing generational influences, a man named Max Jukes without faith in God was studied. Out of 1,200 of his descendants; 440 relatives lived in disobedience to God’s Word. 339 were homeless; 190 prostitutes; 100 alcoholics; and 7 murderers. Without contribution, their cost to society was estimated at 1 million dollars. It is obvious that wounded people seek bitter revenge as their faithless ways and attitudes of self-hate and bitterness injures countless others. Our Father asks us to forgive others as we have been forgiven. Broken people choose to use their tongues to speak both blessings and curses, and this should not be! “Those things which proceed out of the mouth (words) come forth from the heart and they (words) defile a man.” Matt 15:18 If you ever ENVY a person for their gifts, looks, or ways, why not pray to release the spirit of jealousy? https://amazed2017.com/wellspring/

Whose kingdom are we serving with our thoughts? With INTENTION we CHOOSE to BE overwhelmed by His daily mercies and His lavish grace, therefore we choose to be quick to forgive and show mercy.

Know your enemy, resist the devil and he will flee. He slips in with envy and bitterness.

Why wait, get rid of all that hinders you and run the race with joy!

2 Peter 1:2-8 NIV “Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to ADD to your faith goodness; knowledge; self-control; perseverance; godliness; mutual affection; and love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Mark 9:17 A “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.”  Ask for MORE faith in God.  Scripture teaches that we are to pray continually. “Without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to God must BELIEVE that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6  A BFF STUDY

IF there is a slight chance that a spirit of UNBELIEF is attacking you, let us pray. Heavenly Father, I confess, repent, and renounce my Doubt, Unbelief, Bitterness, Envy, and Self-Pity. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood, I break, shatter, and cut off the power in any generational sin and the generational curse of Unbelief, Doubt, Self-Pity, Bitterness and Envy in my life and in all my generations back to Adam. In the name of The Lord Jesus Christ, today I cancel all of Satan’s power and authority over me because of my participation in bitterness, jealousy, and envy. I COMMAND all the tormentors and principalities of bitterness, envy, jealousy, rejection, fear, confusion and doubt that have been assigned to me because of a generational sin and/or generational curse to leave me now. Father I ask You to forgive me for my doubts, jealousy, envy, and any bitterness. Today, I purpose and choose to forgive myself. Holy Spirit reveal Your truth. The Accusers

SING… “IF you have been forgiven, IF you have been redeemed, IF you walk in freedom, IF you bear the name of Jesus, sing praise to the King. All creation cries Holy, You are lifted high! Hear Your people sing Holy, You will always be Holy, Holy forever. Your name Jesus stands above all — above all thrones, and dominions, all powers and positions, Your name Jesus, stands above them all.”

Christ’s exaltation listed in Scripture over REPEATEDLY, WHY? Because He is busy working for us from heaven. ❤️ Acts 2:33 “Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.” ❤️ Matthew 22:44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.” ❤️ Mark 14:62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” ❤️ Luke 20:42-43 ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” ❤️ Romans 8:34 NIV “Who then is the one who condemns? No one. CHRIST JESUS who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also INTERCEDING for us.” ❤️ To be like Jesus, we must look at Jesus. Romans 4:20-24 “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” ❤️ Put to death = nekroo; means to think rightly, as if dead. Hebrews 11:12 “So from this one man (Abraham), and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.” ❤️ Change our perspective, change our thinking, to consider ourselves ALIVE in Christ and dead to our old way of thinking, acting, responding. ❤️ We work out our salvation by purifying ourselves of any impurities, we get rid of unclean thinking. The Holy Spirit points out a bit of bitterness, a strong desire to do evil. We recognize our spiteful behavior to get revenge against someone who offended, wounded or insulted us.  We choose to forgive with obedience to God’s word. Ephesians 5:6-8 “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”
