Jesus revealed Himself to His Son of Thunder who had been exiled to the island of Patmos. He told John to write down what He wanted to say to the 7 churches. The visions that the Apostle John saw were described without fully understanding the mysterious future that God was showing Him. In the first paragraph John dictated that the reader will be blessed. The content of Revelation is often avoided because today, we are too comfortable with the convenience of our lives. The persecution of the church and it’s people is disturbing. The TRUTH is that100% of people on earth die. So where do they go? Who is the Judge of all, and how do we know where we will finally end up? This visual summary of the Revelation of Jesus Christ gives the reader a broad understanding of what is to come.

The blessing comes as we are moved in our spirit, by God’s Spirit by how the martyrs back then and today, are tortured and executed for their faith in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Lord, the King of kings. IF we choose to remain in our comfort zone, and lean on our own understanding, we will miss the BLESSING of reading Revelation. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and application. The TRUTH is that “ETERNITY IS NOW IN SESSION.” Every book of the Bible is inspired and purposed to bless us, however, Revelation is the only book that promises to bless the reader. Before you begin, the assurance of your salvation and anointing of the Holy Spirit is most important to digest and own. PRAY: Lord give me eyes to see what John saw with understanding. Give me ears to hear the words contained in this video about the Holy Spirit. AMEN

“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” As our Almighty Father God would have it, the Word of God spoke, and His name is Jesus. The Holy Spirit hovered over the darkness—and created all that He spoke. You and me can see, smell, touch and experience what was created just as God said in the book of Genesis. John described Jesus with these words, “His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one but He Himself knows. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God.” (Rev 19:12-13)

The Holy Spirit helped John find the words to describe what he saw to record it for our joyful benefit. It was written during a time that the body of Christ was being brutally attacked. Today Christians are also being violently persecuted, so the intent of this letter is to ENCOURAGE us, NOT alarm us.  In the first 3 chapters the word church is listed 19 times. Then, as our loving Father would have it, in the blink of an eye our Creator snatched up His Church to meet Jesus in the clouds before His justified bowls of wrath are poured out on those who refused to believe in Jesus as Lord. The video below covers 1 Kings, and the story of the prophet Elijah, Elisha, and John the Baptist. Teachers in the days of Jesus were confused about who He truly was.

From Genesis to Revelation we can read and testify that the message of Jesus has never changed, been stopped or censored by anyone.  God is on the throne, He is with us, and it is our Father’s desire that we feel His affection for us.  The apostle John was obedient when Jesus said “write” and “send” this letter to each church, for “I am in them, and they are in Me.” The PROMISE that “I will never forsake you.” IS the BLESSING. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” Luke 21:33 Jesus also said “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 What that means is that we will be used to transform tears to testimonies, and pain into gain for the Glory of God.

Jesus declared these unchanging truths: I AM the bread of life. I AM the light of the world. I AM the resurrection and the life. I AM the way and the truth and the life. Before Abraham was born, I AM. Then in the final breath of the Messiah, the Christ, Jesus shouted. “It is finished.” So as one reads the book of Revelation, know that the intent is to ENCOURAGE us to hold on, to PERSEVERE, and to ENDURE as we were set apart to live in this fallen world. We walk and ask questions of the ever-present Holy Spirit, and as He reveals, we grow ‘in Him’ as we live among the lost and share His light. We get comfortable with our IDENTITY in CHRIST and we NEVER expect the world to applaud us. The world is currently ran by the prince of the air. Satan lies through the airwaves, in every sort of media to turn us away from God. The world HATES US, just at it HATED the truth when Jesus walked the earth. The world resists the truth because they are satisfied by the pleasures of life. Therefore, we do NOT expect that the lost will approve of us. PRAY that the HOLY SPIRIT uses whatever words we share, as He does His job to convict and transform the hearer of the Gospel. Nothing that the world has to offer will SATISFY us like the TRUTH as revealed in Scripture. Imagine Jesus walking into your home today, knowing that He knows the entire contents of your heart, and your motives. The TRUTH is, wherever we are He is, however, He can only work through the Host that has a purified heart. Be assured that the Holy Spirit is always at work in us, changing us, and growing us to LOVE JESUS with all of our heart. When that happens, everything we do becomes a praise for His Glory and honor.

Jesus may be saying to you “come back to Me, your first Love.” Or He may be asking you to tell Him your fears, your hesitation to fully surrender to the One who loves you more than any human can. Our repeated failures to do life on our own, without God’s word. is what the Holy Spirit uses to convict us to repent and turn back to God. He draws us to the Father so that we come to the end of our ways. This is when we gladly die to our dreams and choose the dream, the vision that God has for us. We come to realize that we indeed need the transforming, creative power of the Holy Spirit.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hear My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20) What a marvelous BLESSING it is to have the Holy Spirit enter us, and feed us the truth. That is what the dinner is all about. The Bread of Life is Jesus. “The revelation from Jesus, shows His servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” Revelation 1:1-3

When we read to the Word of God, imagine yourself being HUGGED by the LORD as He reads your heart. When we read God’s Word out loud, our spirit, mind, and soul HEAR our voice protesting TRUTH into our being. We are blessed to be the candle stick holders of the eternal flame of Jesus.  We are blessed as we lift Jesus up, as the Light of the world. This letter was written to FORTIFY our FAITH in the JESUS who preserves those who believe in the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Jude 1:20-23 “Dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,  keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.  Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” The Holy Spirit distributes gifts as He pleases.

Revelation reveals what to be EXCITED about. It reveals where our HOPE comes from. This letter to the church, to the body of Christ also warns us what dangers to avoid. It causes us to EXAMINE the contents of our hearts so that we humbly repent of anything that does not honor God. Is the Word of God your most valued treasure? The Secret Place, is the unseen place where we store all of what we treasure. God knows the content of our secret place, our heart. Revelation also speaks to our big and little masked compromises. It shows us how to view politics and governmental systems. It reveals that money cannot buy what God offers. God’s salvation is delivered by His grace. On the cross Jesus said “It is finished” He was faithful to do what the Father sent Him to accomplish for us. Jesus willing laid down His life for us. He is the suffering Servant of God, sent to be crucified, then buried for 3 days, then WALK out of the TOMB and reveal Himself as the supernaturally resurrected Savior of the World. God ordained the final sacrifice for man’s sins, the holy blood of the perfect Lamb was shed on a cross to cover us. Appreciating our liberation and our position of authority within the family of God, we glorify Jesus as we participate in God’s redemptive plan using the gifts He gave us.

The vision John had is the Revelation of Jesus. God commands our full attention and belief in what was revealed.  After a personal time of thanksgiving, bring the glory of His presence down as you read what Jesus revealed. Praise Him for what He personally shows you in this final chapter. “Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 19:25) “Then the angel said to me, ‘Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.” (Rev 19:9)

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything NEW!’. Then He said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and TRUE.’ He said to me: ‘It is done. I am the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.” (Rev 21:5-7) To be made NEW we must surrender our doubts, fears and our reluctance to believe in God. “Behold, I am coming SOON! My reward is with Me, and I will GIVE to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:12-13)

Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”  1 Peter 5:8 HOLD onto your FAITH during these last days when the deceiver seeks to kill and destroy any faith in JESUS. “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)  Store up Treasures The worship of God as our #1 priority on earth — WAS and REMAINS the subversive activity, then and now, in a world of full of idolatry and materialism. Nothing is more vital and practical as leaning on the Holy Spirit for guidance, and understanding. Nothing is more practical than perseverance to praise God even as evil presses in on our time on earth. We are citizens of heaven, we belong to God. Our identity in Him is that we are “a child of God.” We were legally adopted by the King of kings, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit, and assigned a gift, to use for His glory and our satisfaction.
