Ongoing Receiving

Nothing can come out of a person that has not first come into them. If what pours in, then sprays joy unto others, it is right to praise God.  Decree that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is great liberty.  With such freedom, we speak hope, in He who is  here, to be RECEIVED. Like a sunrise rises slowly, a new heart sees a ray of hope that soon becomes a blinding sun — burning away ALL that is NOT of God. AMEN ❤️

If we have been filled to the full, we  believe not in lack — but we believe in our Father’s eternal abundance.  Daily, we live under His lavish outpouring of grace.  We, therefore are endowed with a glad spirit and driven onward to catch up with things promised, yet unseen.

CH Spurgeon delights hearts today with a sermon given 140 years ago on July 13, 1884. Have you received the Holy Spirit? Does the operation of the Holy Spirit keep you seeking more of what God has for thee? Careful to speak words to bless,  the Holy Spirit is our joyful companion. We rejoice in the light as He is in the light. Do you not hear the Word of God like a chord struck with a harmonizing joy? Listen and be greatly encouraged.

God is faithful to redeem every soul. Our weakness is God’s certain anointing. For where we are weak, He is strong. We are reconciled and no power can separate us from the love of God.  God finishes His work within each He has entered. Praise God in all things.

The Message is that God wants you woven into a tapestry of love. He wants you to be in touch with the Holy Spirit who will teach you all there is to know about God. God wants us to focus on Christ so we can have confident minds and be at rest. “All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! My counsel for you is simple and straight

Forward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live Him. You’re deeply rooted in Him. You’re well constructed upon Him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk.

Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It’s not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you’re already in—insiders—not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin. If it’s an initiation ritual you’re after, you’ve already been through it by submitting to baptism.

Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s Cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets. So don’t put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet, worship services, or holy days. All those things are mere shadows cast before what was to come; the substance is Christ.

Don’t tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape. Christ, puts us together in one piece, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as He nourishes us.” Colossians 2  The Message is true!

Colossians 1:9-18 (MSG)  Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven’t stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to His will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you’ll live well for the Master, making Him proud of you as you work hard in His orchard.

As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy,
thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us. God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son

He loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in Him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, He organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body. He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—He is supreme in the end. From beginning to end He’s there, towering far above everything, everyone.” The kingdom of God is at hand.

1) Worship Jesus and please the Holy Spirit who hears our words, prayers.

2) Follow the Holy Spirit’s prompts, nudges, leading. God is with us — and He gave us a Guide, the Holy Spirit so we don’t get lost

3) When convicted, please the Holy Spirit by repenting. When Holy Spirit highlights an area, ask for strength.

4) Trust in the Holy Spirit’s witness to the truth, God’s Word.  Emotions are like the weather ever changing.

5) Ask Holy Spirit for help. “Help me Holy Spirit with my —-.” Be honest, He is our Helper, and we need help.

6) Be kind to others and quick to forgive. Stop being envious and accept who you are in Christ Jesus.

7)Talk to the Holy Spirit and commune with Him.

Wherever you are God is. God is faithful to all His promises.  “I shall never leave you or forsake you.” Be at rest in Him knowing that the Holy Spirit hears your inner thoughts and He is pleased as you praise Jesus, the Christ, either silently or vocally. In my concern about not praying adequately, my cry was simply “Lord, help me.” He  answered in a dream last night. I fell into a sparkling pool, fully immersed and swimming in His grace, as a child in great joy and peace.

“Jesus entered a synagogue; and a man was there whose hand was withered. They were watching Him to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. Mark 3:1-2

The truth is we are all being watched, and heard. This is not unsettling to a follower of Jesus.  Like our High Priest was being watched intently by the Pharisees, our accuser seeks to cause us doubt. – Christ’s enemies always watched Him for an opportunity to bring charges against Him – Since our Accuser is a Liar, as I took time to meditate on a sermon by CH SPURGEON and on this verse, the Spirit revealed: that as our Lord’s enemies watched Jesus closely, His followers are still scrutinized closely. Globally each government is busy watching Bible believing Christians. Globally, true believers are viewed as a threat to social order. “Fear not” is our Lord’s reminder! We walk and talk in confidence in Who is also watching us. The ‘big brother,’ has us under surveillance each day…

BUT GOD surrounds us with angels. The good news prevails!  As the world is watching us, so is our God and the ever present Holy Spirit leads us. As the song says “His eye is on the sparrow Oh yes, I, I know He watches over me.“ Take courage and trust, that our Almighty Creator cares and provides for His kids all that we need! Rejoice in your eternal security that is stabilized by the Rock of your salvation, Jesus the Christ. HALLELUJAH

‭Our Father is not finished refining any of us yet. Nothing can stop the ongoing goodness of God. The finishing grace of God does not stop until we are glorified fully into the image of Christ. Romans 8:18 is a TRUTH blessing. NLT ❤️ “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory HE will reveal to us later.” MSG ❤️ “That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.” Waiting on God never diminishes us. He enlarges our capacity to reflect Jesus in our waiting.

The longer we wait, the more goodness we gather, the more light we become, and the more joyful in our expectancy of who He created us to be. The moment we get tired in our waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.” Just rejoice always!
