Three Sheets to the Wind

I felt like three sheets to the wind, without a drop of whiskey! With a flimsy scarf to keep the grit from scrambling down my throat, I longed for a sturdy bandanna, or a roll of masking tape to rescue me from choking.  Each breath was like inhaling a bottle of honey. I sought safety and crawled inside a basket and curled up like a cat and quietly purred.
