Imagine walking in a garden that allows the public to pick free bouquets. God offers such a garden along any country road. What if we spent a day gathering wildflowers to give away! Think about being a blessing by gifting a bouquet to a complete stranger! Dont wait for a holiday, simply choose to brighten up your weekend in a joyful way. The giver and receiver will both get blessed with an act of kindness.

“Make your day!” Be a blessing! As we go about our business, people see us. Our pace is noted and our very countenance; a facial glow or a frown sends out a silent message. We invite others to wonder what it is that causes us to smile, or why we appear so discontent. Target those who look down trodden.

The recipient might ask “why me?” A great opportunity to then say “We never know how many weekends we have left, so while I can, I just wanted to cheer somebody up.” I picked you because you appeared distressed. By the way, do you know who Jesus is? He is the only One who ever gave me life changing hope! When my life was a mess, I asked Jesus to forgive me for how I doubted Him, and for the way I treated my family. I used to avoid church people. When my world was crumbling, I asked Jesus to reveal Himself to me. A flood of awe came upon me as my bitterness, anger, hate, and jealousy instantly was forgiven and replaced with hope.

I started going to a Bible teaching church and the Holy Spirit began to give me understanding. Today I just wanted to tell someone about Jesus. He is the Truth, the Life and the only Way for anyone to get to heaven. Our weekends on earth will eventually run out. Today you can choose to receive Jesus as Lord of your life, and His promised new life in Him begins immediately.

Just like the first followers of Jesus, we all have questions. Attend a church that teaches from the Bible and make new friends. Life is hard and we all need friends to support us. Just remember “God created you in His image and He has a plan and purpose for you. REJOICE!

We were all gifted with a measure of FAITH in God Almighty. May these flowers encourage you to look to the One true God that created all that is!
