What is behind the curtain? May we come to personally experience, to taste and see and know the truth of the Holy of holies? At the moment Jesus said from the cross “It is finished” The temple curtain was torn to give ALL direct access to the love and Mercy Seat of God.

What makes Christianity distinct? ❤ The EXPERIENCE of Jesus and His propitiation for our sins. His perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus redeemed us, He purchased us, He rescued us from the slavery of our selfish behavior, our inadequacy to be holy. To be made worthy or perfect in God’s sight is to be covered by the gift of His righteousness. Out of Gods mercy, our Father sent His Son down as the Messiah. Jesus in the flesh came to atone, to cover our sins. Why? Out of our Father’s love and His desire to have a relationship with who He created, His sons and daughters.

Without faith, in Jesus, it is impossible to please God. God is perfect and holy. Before any can stand before Him, our Father provided the Way for us to be made holy. The Mercy Seat is the lid that covers the content of the Ark of God’s Covenant. ❤️ Romans 3:25-26 “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of His blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—He did it to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.”

When we seek God with all our hearts, we find truth. Reading God’s Word we see the word ark sprinkled all the way into the New Testament, and into us. We discover that behind the curtain, in the Weighty Presence of the glory of God, the Holy Spirit soothes, teaches, guides, loves, heals, convicts and comforts us.

Ever since our rescue from the strict law, we made our personal exodus from the religion of man. We were freed from the religious act of a blood sacrifice; the attempt to live a moral life on our own strength; and efforting to appear holy. Once forgiven and washed, we enter a personal relationship with the Transformer, Jesus our Savior.

Today the Holy Place is in the heart of His followers. The Ark was the container constructed to host the visible Shekinah Glory of God. The golden lid is His Mercy Seat. We have been built by God to host the Holy Spirit and to bring God glory on earth as it is in heaven. “But I will establish My covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.” “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.”

Our Biblical focus to enter into the Presence of God is so that we may know Him. We seek to hear what the Spirit reveals. Joy filled, we receive His blessings. Through our obedience, we are changed to the level our surrender.

In the Old Testament God told Moses to build a tabernacle that would host His holy Presence. Moses pitched a precise tent for the purpose of God dwelling with His people. Historically Israel hosted God’s holy Presence, His manifested glory for 1,000 years inside the Holy of Holies, inside the temple in Jerusalem. In the 2nd court of the temple, the Holy Place, behind the curtain is where the High Priest celebrated God’s provision. They burned incense, lit the menorah, and laid out the showbread. By the mercy of God, the Bread of Life, Jesus never becomes stale, or out of our reach.
