For mankind to maintain a biblical relationship with our heavenly Father – His Word makes our part clear. “They overcame by the blood of the Lamb (His Sacrifice) and the word of their testimony.” Rev 12 As new creations “in Christ” — we deny our flesh, our selfish preferences and willingly choose to obey what God says.

The power of the blood covers us, however, we are obligated by the new covenant to turn away from the ways of the world, and remain obedient to God’s Word. Saul was anointed the first king of Israel. 1 Samuel 15:10 “I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from Me and has not carried out My instructions.” God asked Saul “Why did you not obey Me?” King Saul defended himself and said that he did obey in his own way.

REBELLION is a sin, and Saul rejected the Word of the Lord, and the anointed king of Israel and both of his sons died on the same day. Did Saul go to heaven? Is obedience more important than sacrifice? “Since we have been JUSTIFIED by HIS BLOOD… SHALL we keep on SINNING so GRACE may INCREASE? NO !!!” READ Romans chap 5 + 6 ❤️ “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’S ’s WILL is —His good, pleasing and PERFECT WILL.” Romans 12:2 We were called to live according to His Word. Living as a conquering saint, we WISELY DO NOT abuse the gift of GOD’S GRACE.

God is holy and just, and we are obligated under the new covenant to walk in the Spirit and obey God by loving and forgiving one another. “IF you love Me keep My commands.” John 14:15 After His Church was established the Spirit of God wrote this so READ it slowly and ask the Holy Spirit for clarity. Hebrews 10:26-38 “If we DELIBERATELY keep on SINNING after we have received the KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a FEARFUL expectation of JUDGMENT and of raging fire that will CONSUME the ENEMIES of God.” Saul was an enemy of God.

“Anyone who REJECTED the law of Moses DIED WITHOUT mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much MORE SEVERELY do you think someone DESERVES to be PUNISHED who has TRAMPLED the Son of God UNDERFOOT, who has TREATED as an unholy thing the BLOOD of the COVENANT that SANCTIFIED them, and who has INSULTED the SPIRIT of GRACE? For we know HIM who said, “It is MINE to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The LORD will JUDGE HIS people.”

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Remember those earlier days after you had received the LIGHT, when you ENDURED in a great conflict full of SUFFERING. Sometimes you were PUBLICLY EXPOSED to INSULT and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You SUFFERED along with those in prison and JOYFULLY accepted the confiscation of your property, because you KNEW that you yourselves had better and LASTING POSSESSIONS. So do not THROW away your CONFIDENCE; it will be RICHLY REWARDED. You need to PERSEVERE so that when you have DONE the WILL of GOD, you will RECEIVE what HE has PROMISED. For, “In just a little while, HE who is COMING will come and will not delay.” And, “But My righteous one will live by FAITH. And I take NO PLEASURE in the one who SHRINKS back.” Sunday October 1, 2022 Sermon by Pastor Gary Neighbor

Do what is right before God! Today is the day to get right with God. He offers all of us an opportunity to REPENT and turn back to Him and His ways. God is loving and forgiving, but we must be repentant. Tomorrow may be the day we stand before His judgment seat. Obedience to God brings about unity in the Body of Christ. God is love, but He is also holy, and He is everyone’s righteous Judge. Here is His deal. We REPENT and HE FORGIVES. God KNOWS the contents of our hearts. Got envy, bitterness and any murky anger smoldering? Be sure to ask God for His forgiveness and then forgive all who hurt your feelings, then forgive yourself and walk in obedience. Turn away from gossip and grumbling and repent before God. That’s it. If you don’t, according to Gods Word, life is eternal —NOW is the time to choose your final location. Some people are false, wheat and tares, sheep and goats. We understand that. The Bible makes it clear. Seek God with all your heart, mind and soul. Invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart. He will reveal stuff to get rid of. Remember, God will not be mocked. Stand for truth and have a righteous heart before God. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He took many captives and gave gifts to His people.” So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Be made new in the attitude of your minds; and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
