The Old Gate

No matter what is going on in the world, we always have the freedom to choose. We freely choose what to think. We make a decision on where to go. Most importantly, we choose to follow the leader, or we follow the most popular idea or crowd. God warns us to pay attention to the obvious fruit. Consider carefully who you follow. Do they always complain about the problem, or do they listen and offer solutions? Do they humbly listen to others, or do they pridefully boast about what they intend to accomplish? Is their focus to honor God or to gain recognition? Are they grateful or spiteful?

Matthew 7 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.” Broad is the road that leads to eternal destruction. Do not follow the crowd, follow Jesus and enter His gates with thanksgiving and joy!

Matthew 7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Discernment is the ability to know right from wrong. We choose to discern aptly and offer a gentle warning, God is the judge. Consider the thief on the cross and REMEMBER how much debt God forgave you. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” ❤️ “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”

God gifts us all differently. Some are administrators, teachers, and others cook, labor, or they appear in our life to point out a thing we missed or the good. Encouragers are as important as the teacher. The body of Christ is made up of a variety of personalities and talent. Equal in importance, we serve as we can.
