Rejected?

Did you know that 80% of all children born, were a surprise, and were unplanned and even unwanted? In the womb, unwed mothers wrestle with feelings of rejection and they pass their fears into the unborn fetus. Rejection, real or imagined hurts, and it is known to be the most devastating emotion. Much of what counseling uncovers in Christians and those without faith is unforgiveness, which ramps up to resentment, which climbs through walls of rejection to burst out in anger, then hate, then violence and eventually murder. Hurt people hurt others with words, or with avoidance, a silent treatment and by murdering their reputation with unfounded, untruthful gossip. Because of the spirit of rejection operating in them, they lash out their pain and build walls of protection around themselves. GOOD NEWS: Nothing can prevent the Holy Spirit from entering into a barricaded heart and changing it.

Rejection prevents us from accepting, understanding and becoming all that God designed us to be. If someone does not look at us, or they look past us to greet others, we may feel rejected. Where does the FEAR of being unwanted, not good enough come from? Entry points for rejection come through inconvenient pregnancies, the surprise unwanted child; divorce; appearance ( too short, large etc.) the silent treatment, facial expressions, the birth order tradition of being second and not first, or the last who gets leftovers. The spirit of rejection seeks to destroy our faith in who God says we are, and in the power of His blood to cover us, restore us and renew us. God did not choose us because of our birth order, intellect, skills, gender or physical appearance. He chose us because He loves us enough to send His Son Jesus to be the blood sacrifice required to be purified and stand before God.

READ 1 Corinthians 3 to prepare your spirit for your “One on One with Jesus.” Read it again, this time not as an assignment, but invite the Holy Spirit to enlighten your eyes and to examine your heart. BE STILL and RECEIVE what HE is saying to you. Ask for a fresh filling of wisdom and enlightenment from the Holy Spirit — daily. Talk with Jesus in about things. AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD shared “I may be only 11 years old, but I have the same Spirit in me that is in you!” The Holy Spirit gives us all wisdom, understanding and discernment. He is ever present, abiding in us. Do not forsake gathering together with the Body of Christ, we all need encouragement and prayer. None of us is without sin and we come together to build each other up with salt and light. The glory of God reveals the truth. LIFE on EARTH is all about the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, not in anything we do. BECOMING HOLY is a lifelong process of sanctification. Did you know that the spirit of rejection can work in you to cause you to reject love, the truth, and God? IF we have receive the spirit of rejection and accept it as our identity, then we may idolize ourselves as the pitiful rejected runt. Our identity is established in who God says we are, not our feelings, or our worn out life of pity.

James 5:16 Confess and acknowledge IF you have been offended by “the look” of disapproval, by a remark, by being ignored. The devil uses offense as a weapon to weaken the brethren. Our Father uses forgiveness as the solution to every offense. There is tremendous soul restoring power in forgiveness. Praise the Lord for moving into broken hearts, ruptured relationships and twisted truths. The Holy Sprit makes crooked ways straight. AMEN We acknowledge the wound and we heal with forgiveness of those who offended or rejected us. We do our part by dying to our desire for vengeance, and admitting to God our part (the silent treatment, the way we avoid those who hurt us, and peeling off the band aid to look at our wounds over and over. We passionately seek the Holy Spirit’s intervention and ask for His wisdom and His healing to gain access to ALL the FULLNESS of what God offers.

When GOD is BIG, problems shrink, then vanish. FLIP SIDE: When we detail how big our problems are, our God is replaced with woe, worry, confusion, and fear that He cares not. Struggles weigh down those whose minds are filled with why, with how, with its impossible. Then the burdens overwhelm our vision of Jesus. TRUTH: God is never shocked, undone or worried about IF HIS way will fail. He is ever ABLE to work ABUNDANTLY and sufficiently with our trials. Get ready for the Holy Spirit to expand your knowledge and awe of God, “Don’t Shrink God!” Ephesians 3 He is greater than our problems! Many slowly drift away from His all consuming power. “Communion” is symbolic of what we share in His blood, His sacrificial love. We wisely choose to have a JESUS mindset when people are throwing rocks at us. When we draw closer to God, we too can say “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

Dear heavenly Father, in the the name of Jesus, I ask You to forgive me for any and all ways that I have feared rejection, in the terrible ways that I have rejected others, for rejecting God, for rejecting myself, and for desiring to be rejected to maintain my self-pity. Because God has forgiven me, out of obedience, today I choose to forgive myself. Today I release myself from all the bitterness caused by rejection. Today I am loosed from the spirit of rejection! In the name of Jesus, I cancel all Satan’s power and authority over me in any and all rejection. Today I accept the identity that God gave me and rejection can no longer steal my joy. rejection is done and over with! In the name of Jesus, I COMMAND the principality of rejection and all its armor to leave me now! Holy Spirit, heal my heart and tell me Your truth. AMEN

Surely goodness and mercy follows me ALL the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23: 6 God Himself is following, watching, guiding, speaking, and providing for us 24/7. Our Father sees us, hears us, and He pursues us, to change us into a reflection of His glory. Our best days are still ahead. no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done. Our greatest days of usefulness and service to God are still in the future, because “goodness” (defined as bounty and blessing) and “mercy” (lovingkindness and favor) will be on your heels and hunting you down every second of the time. The enemy will offer up excuses: “You have failed too many times, you have nothing to offer God, you are not smart enough, God has forgotten you.” ALL LIES! Choose to forgive and FLY like an eagle.
