Our Father extends His hand, His love, His promises, His faithfulness, and His grace to all. Dusting off the familiar old story of Goliath, Dutch shreds a dark veil to expose a hidden and valuable comparison to the church today. The entire Body of Christ is facing a giant in 2024. Goliath was an intimidating freak, a skilled and fiercely dangerous warrior who mocked God and His people. Today, the giant mocks our covenant relationship with God by promoting abortion, same sex marriage, and loose morality. California just passed a law that forbids a Christian to hold any position in government.

The name Goliath means to expose, and God used that giant freak to reveal the improperly placed fear of Saul. His fear flowed into his entire army. The soldiers of God’s army broke under the stress of the giant’s threat. They stood frozen, and greatly afraid. The army was stricken naked of any faith in God.

David’s name means to boil with a passionate love. God Almighty told Samuel, “I’m seeking someone who fears Me.” God did not find the FEAR of GOD, or FAITH in God’s power  in Saul, or his army. In Hebrew, the word “seek” means to look for something lost. The GLORY of GOD, the Holy Presence of God, was lost. The Ark of the Covenant was put somewhere unprotected. It was placed in an unsafe place, and it got stolen. Today, God is seeking an army of people who seek His Holy Presence. He desires a people who are after His heart. Judah means “he who extends a hand.” When we extend our hands in praise, we represent Judah. David was of the tribe of Judah. The choice is ours.  We shrink back in fear like Saul, or like David, we rise up in FAITH in FEAR God and His mighty power.

Royal history begins with the book of Samuel. After 350 years the rule of the Judges ended. The next 500 years, kings ruled Israel.  Samuel was the last of the Judges while Saul was the first of the kings and he reigned for 25 years. GRAB your history with God and “GO speak BOLDLY!” Write your congress person. Radical FAITH is a BELIEF with roots. David acted on his known history with God. We have a CAUSE and a HISTORY to write. God is looking for a generation that inquires of God. Who will be the voice that sits in Congress that bows down and repents for this nation. We decree that this nation will honor God. We cling to the promises of God and KNOW that we are the winning remnant. We grab the grace of God and move in confidence. Listen to Dutch and hear what the Spirit of God is saying.
