The bait dangled by the liar is that life will be better after we go on vacation. Happiness will be ours after we finish that project, graduate, get the dream job, or when we retire.  Sorting through life’s tackle box of events, we grow to realize that God does not pause ⏸️ in His goodness when disasters happen.  BUT GOD, Immanuel, is with us, in the fire, flood, death, accident, burglary, and surgery. Trust God’s Word and blessed be the King who transformed fishermen into His Apostles, who are the people He chose to send out to tell others of His superior Way of everlasting JOY.

Our Father loves to plays hide and seek with His kids. When the alarms of life are going off, we may mistakenly think to ourselves that life will improve when our president/friend/spouse gets their act together. The truth is, there’s no better time to SEEK GOD and let Him fix our attitude towards all things that confound us.  Don’t wait for an irritating encounter with the dead or a disaster to drive you to your knees. Seek the ONE who offers us wisdom, joy, rest, peace, comfort, provision, and assurance right NOW. Life is filled with challenges…but God — nothing is too much for His power.

A confounded soul: “For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.” Alfred D. Souza “God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” 1 Corin 1:27 

The story of Obed is inspiring.  King David asked Obed if he would be the host of the Holy Ghost by keeping the Ark of God’s Covenant in his house for 3 months. Obed most likely jumped at the offer. Did he just stare at the glory of God for 90 days? Did his house ever sleep? Today, as God gives us a new life, we immediately become the host of the Holy Spirit — The process of making room for Him to fill all corners, takes our willingness to let go of stuff that we dont need for the next adventure.  OUR BIG BONUS is a PROMISED PROMOTION! His training program requires many tests of our trust in Him.  We rise from our baptism, different, and set apart for His glory, not ours. God’s promise for eternal life when we depart this earth keeps us in AWE as we follow!  The Holy Spirit is quite the Travel Agent of change! Hallelujah! Our Father’s future travel plan takes us into a place where His Holy Presence never departs. Hallelujah!

Envision a mansion that the carpenter’s Son has been working on for 2,000 years. With His endless budget, it will be glorious.  For now, it is Wisdom Himself who said.  “Don’t stress out or worry, thinking ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the spiritually poor, listen to many voices that promote running after all these things. But, as a child of the King, your heavenly Father knows exactly what you need. Our Papa desires that we seek first His Presence, His kingdom, His Way, His wisdom, and His grace. When we do that, He surprises us with a Word of hope. We choose to stand in His transforming, renewing Holy Presence, and smile in His great delight to hear from us. Trust and expect that our Father will supply for all our needs. Therefore, we choose to hush the voice of worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Apply  Matthew 6:31

What a glory filled freedom is is to just imagine heaven! While on earth as His host, wherever we are, He is! That means we get to treasure the highs and the lows, knowing we are never alone or abandoned by God. So go ahead and thank God for every temporary moment that life offers.  Treasure each moment as we share our valleys and our mountain top moments with that ever present Someone special.

Our great treasure is Him of whom we abide in. That treasure cannot be lost or stolen. Trust God and marvel at His daily plan firbyou.  Our Father will accomplish His plan through His wiiling hosts on earth.

Remember that time waits for no one. Stop waiting until ….there is no better time than right NOW to seek and find God in your midst. The Highway to heaven is a journey, and when we arrive at our final destination, there will be no tears, sorrows, lies, theft, or pain. Until Jesus returns, work like you are working for God and do not be deterred, remain in Him. His triumphant entry into your life.  Jesus rode into Jerusalem as the King, and our eternal destiny is His doing. Praise God!

It’s very easy to get lost in Christian practices like reading the Word, or even prayer as a task. Be careful NOT to lose touch with the Holy Presence of God. REMEMBER that a relationship thrives when we get face to face. IF we must drag ourselves into communion with anyone, and the person becomes part of our to-do list rather than a chance to engage, any artificial LOVE crushes hearts. We were created in His image and our Father has feelings too. Our Father knows the contents of our hearts and our motives. The King of glory, wept over the city and in the garden. Let’s keep our hearts connected with His. The Author and Perfecter of our faith longs to remain our priority.
