This is not a scene from a dark Dickens novel. This is a paragraph of truth about the final destination of a rebellious soul. He bowed his head, and beat his breast confessing, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ The IRS agent, rather than the pastor, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Humbly ask God.

If you got wasted again or if you are addicted to pain pills, but you boldly think about going to church, sit with me. Know this, I was once a broken spirit, but Jesus healed me.  Mark 2:17 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” If you  are sad and take  antidepressants, but you choose to go to church, sit with me, cuz you are right where you need to be. If you got divorced, and the last church you attended condemned you for ending a toxic relationship,  sit with me. If you had an abortion, and you want to get relief from guilt, sit with me. If you did the unthinkable, and seek forgiveness, sit with me. Broken folks come to church because in their darkest, most painful moments, they heard about a man named Jesus who can save their soul. Come as you are, and Jesus will greet you! Welcome Home!
