Rebuilding Walls

God chose Nehemiah to rebuild the wall, a daunting task. As a humble cupbearer he boldly asked the king for help. He knew the promises of God, and he trusted His faithfulness. He had ears to hear what the Spirit of God was saying, and he wrote it down for our benefit today. As a person eager to do God’s will,  Nehemiah was full of compassion. His heart for the things of God compelled his choice to leave a life of luxury for a life of hard work and danger. Nehemiah honored the diversity of people who came to offer their craft. Nehemiah listed each name and tribe of every worker.  As we abide in Him, the resident of our soul, the Holy Spirit, equips us with specific gifts. The liar can not defile those who keep their minds on the promises of God. Notes while listening to Dr. Michael Brown in Guadalajara. Fire School of Ministry GOZO September 27, 2024

Just like in the days of Nehemiah, the massive corporate sin and our own sin can prevent God from using us. Ask the Holy Spirit, to flash His light and expose any hidden sin. Confess to God, and to the one your heart rumbled in rage against. The blood washes away any pride, negative attitudes, doubts, or any false humility. Forgive your parent, that spouse, child, boss, or friend. Ask God to forgive you for your reluctance to obey Him. Receive healing as God cleans up your temple. The resident Holy Spirit will flood your being with God’s plan to rebuild a wall against evil. He will fortify your faith in He who is able. Stand firm in His pure righteousness.  Be renewed with a greater, more radiant and resilient faith.

All the accusations of the Liar cease. All the lies of the enemy of your soul are silenced. God has a plan to use all His faithful children. We step out in faith knowing that the One who dwells within us is greater – than any man, evil spirit, or lie. Faithful to His living Word, God never departs from us.

As we trek quickly through the entire Holy Bible from Genesis to Nehemiah, look for how Jesus is portrayed in each book. Genesis, Jesus is our Creator with God the Father. Exodus, Jesus Christ is portrayed as our Passover Lamb. Leviticus, Jesus is our Sacrifice for sin. Numbers, Jesus is our Lifted up One. Deuteronomy, Jesus is our true Prophet. Joshua, Jesus is the Captain of our salvation. Judges, Jesus is our Deliverer-Judge. Ruth, Jesus is our Kinsman Redeemer. 1st & 2nd Samuel, the people rejected God and asked for a king. In the books of Kings and Chronicles, we wait for the Messiah, Jesus as our King.  In the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, Jesus is our mighty, faithful Restorer.

Meditation on God’s word is to allow Holy Spirit to take you into the deep.  Allowing Scriptures to brew in our brain, colors our thoughts like coffee grinds color water. It enriches the flavor of our LIFE in HIM. A word for meditation in Hebew “siach” means to be occupied.  To be concerned about what breaks the heart of God. Meditation engages the low murmur, a flowing  recollection of our God’s faithfulness. The Holy Spirit whispers, “Walk this way in  confidence.”  God is now doing a NEW thing. Delight in His plan to use you.  Slowly sip in the awe of being chosen for such a time as this.  “I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways.” Psalm 119:15

Biblical meditation is a form of spiritual warfare. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, BRINGING every THOUGHT into CAPTIVITY to the OBEDIENCE of Christ.” 2 Corin 10:4-5 In the midst of chaos get wisdom. “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3

Faith comes by hearing, so if you believe you have faith, then you have heard from God.  Every word spoken by God or by one of His servants has power. Rosh Hashanah is a time to prioritize God in our life. October 3, 2024 the trumpet will sound at sunset. God’s creation, or humanity will each experience that moment in time, according to where they are in the space they inhabit. QUESTION: Who inhabits you? Who lives outside of time and space?

The symbol for the letter Pey is the mouth. 5785 is the year of the Pey Hey – and we are invited to return to Yaweh – God welcomes all people to return to His grace which allows us to overcome our biggest obstacle which is ourselves. This pastor  speaking personally bought and raised two kids. Since that time, his ministry has rescued children.

Rosh Hashanah is a holy Feast Day that Jesus participated in.
