Color me Free

Before we were born, God marveled at His plan for us. It was His pleasure to make us all delightfully unique. Then He picks our parents and brushes us with a true color that just blends in beautifully with others. As the Artist of all that is, He paints us into backgrounds that cause us to discover and celebrate our perfect difference. We are His tapestry of love all woven together. “Be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:23-24

For years God may have been ignored, but God chased us with a wide net of sunsets, fields of flowers, rows of corn, blue skies, and those incredible mountain vistas. He knew us then, and when our misery was like mud.  When we wept over our insane choices, He sent us a friend in Jesus. When we viewed God as an angry JUDGE and a hardened TASK MASTER, our FATHER  always saw us as HIS child. As a loving Father, He disciplines those He loves. “The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, or admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:7

Designed with a purpose, we are wise to never shrink “who we are” to fit into groups that are blind to our benefit.  Carefully, we choose our words so that they shine a shade of brilliance that reflects our Maker. Our conversations are drawn from a well of wisdom. God created us to be the true color in His bright crayon box.  He gave each of us a personality and a specific purpose. We honor God by not belittling or minimizing His call on our lives.  We believe God and honor Him as we speak highly of what God has done in us. God is always doing a NEW thing in us and for the benefit of who is watching. “Set your minds on things ABOVE, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2 Think of how God rescued you, the first time, and again today.

As a person thinks in their heart, so we become. Be careful about what thoughts get entertained. If Jesus would deny those thoughts, then why listen? Our mind of Christ is automatically selective. It listens for  wisdom, guidance, and truth. Choose all that enters and occupies the Kings throne, your heart.  All things work together for our greatest good, so trust the Lord. Remain confident that He sees our beginning and our end. Each season of our life ends with a new start. God is the Alpha, the Omega, and our in-between. Be consumed by His love and sweet words. Feed on His Word like nourishing nectar. Nothing less than the truth will do. “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but He gave us power, love and self -discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7

God needs an army of anointed, confident warriors who take His investment seriously. God has poured much into His people, and He has opened doors for His revival army. Let us not waste the gift He has equipped us with.  “See, the former things have taken place, and NEW things I declare; before they spring into being, I ANNOUNCE them to you.” Isaiah 42:9

The fire, the storm, or the desert transforms us into extraordinary servants. Many are called, but few choose to listen to His call and trust that He is with us in every season. Our Father sees us completely refined, but we might doubt His process and hesitate to heed or appreciate His call. Walk with Him into the refiners fire, and come out beautiful. He smooths out our rough spots. Before we ever feel fully equipped, we actually are. Trial and error is His way of working to increase our FAITH in Him.  We carry the gift of eternity, His promise, His torch of truth to others via our testimony.

God has engaged an army of anointed, confident warriors who take His investment on us seriously. God has poured much into His people, and He has opened doors for His revival army. Let us not waste the gift He has equipped us with. “See, I am doing a NEW thing! Now it SPRINGS up; do you not PERCEIVE it? I am making a WAY in the wilderness and STREAMS in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

Freedom has never been free. It comes with a cost. Anxiety and resistance to the plan of God is very real. Our Father does NOT want His kids to suffer in silence. Confession brings us a big relief. Boldly, we go to our Father with transparent honesty because our Father already knows what bothers us better than we do. Be honest and admit the struggle of being a Christian with a level of doubt or depression. Life on earth is a spiritual battle. Wisely, we surrender to God and admit our panic attacks, insomnia, eating disorders, and sadness. Then, we get to experience supernatural peace, breakthrough, and freedom in the face of crippling anxiety. All God expects is transparency. The cost of walking in the freedom of Christ is humility. His WAY is EASY only if we submit to God.

Meditate on the love of God. Intentionally remember the grace He has issued. Buckle up with the belt of truth, and know with certainly that God loves you. Ponder His love and grab hold of this awesome revelation. We can not be defeated or deceived when we fill up on truth. Every sunrise and sunset is a reminder that God is loving us with His majestic, permanent, day by day, everlasting love. ❤️

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. They FORBID people to marry and order them to ABSTAIN from certain foods, which GOD CREATED to be received with thanksgiving by those who BELIEVE and who know the truth. For everything GOD created is GOOD, and NOTHING is to be rejected IF it is RECEIVED with THANKSGIVING, because it is consecrated by the WORD of GOD and PRAYER.  For PHYSICAL TRAINING is of some VALUE, but GODLINESS has VALUE for ALL things, holding promise for both the PRESENT LIFE and the LIFE to COME. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves FULL ACCEPTANCE. That is why we LABOR and STRIVE, because we have put our HOPE in the LIVING GOD, who is the SAVIOR of all people, and especially of those who BELIEVE. Do NOT NEGLECT your GIFT, which was GIVEN you through PROPHECY when the body of ELDERS laid their HANDS on you. Be DILIGENT in these MATTERS; give YOURSELF WHOLLY to them, so that EVERYONE may SEE your PROGRESS. WATCH your life and DOCTRINE closely. PERSEVERE in them, because if you do, you will SAVE both YOURSELF and your HEARERS.” 1 Timothy 4

God saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has NOW been REVEALED through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. Guard the GOOD DEPOSIT that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT who LIVES in us.” 2 Tim

We are immersed in God’s story, we are His finest artwork. Remember God’s goodness to you! Indwelt and immersed in Spirit, then sent out by God to deploy His gift of faith while encouraging others with simple acts of kindness — laced with truth. What on earth compares to such a career? There is no higher  position than a servant of the King.  Nothing can be more exciting, or reward a human more than the experience of His holy Presence.  It is astounding to recognize that it was His choice to equip us to fulfill His purpose. All glory to God for giving each person a unique NEW life in Jesus. His supernatural, wonder working power — is our most fortunate blessing.

When someone we love depart to meet Jesus face to face, it feels like the world shifts beneath our feet. The emptiness they leave is overwhelming, a silence so loud it can consume us. We look for them in every whisper, and remember them in familiar songs. As much as we long for their presence, life continues, because love doesn’t end when life on earth does. Our beloved stays with us in fond memories and in the lessons they taught us. God pours His love through them into us.  Their laugh echoes in the back of our minds, their favorite phrases sneak into our conversations, and their essence lingers in the colors of a sunrise. God stitched them into our life, and they are a part of the fabric of who we are. Their love is a part of us, a quiet strength we carry through our days. Grief slowly becomes a gentle reminder of the depth of our love. We smile at their memory and honor God as we give Him thanks for weaving us together forever.  In the quiet moments, when the hour is still, we sense them. In the milestones, we feel their pride. In our hardest days, we feel the echo of their encouragement. Their absence reminds us to hold tightly to those who remain, to express our love without hesitation, and to live in a way that honors the legacy they left behind. When people we love leave this world, they don’t leave us empty—they leave us full. Full of memories, full of love and lessons, and that fullness remains. God is love, and eternal.
