Larry King interviewed Tim Sales in 2009. Truth is that with 35 years in business, Tim has never been arrested by the FTC for building a legitimate Network Marketing Empire. Larry was fascinated with the industry. Tim Sales informs and entertains a large listening audience. What is the definition of multi-level marketing? If you had a warehouse stuffed with thousands of coffee cups to sell, you would need to figure out how to get them into the hands of thousands. You could sell them to Walmart. You could market them on the internet. You could go advertise using direct mail. You could pay for an infomercial. Or you could hire a direct sales team. Direct sales mostly occur without a retail store. It is a person to person conversation. Multi-level marketing describes how the sales force is paid. A small direct sales company only pays one agent, at one level. Multi-level marketing is a term that describes how the agent is compensated for selling a product. When a product or service that you have needs an explanation or needs a demonstration, direct sales is the best method to use.

Walmart does not provide the staff to explain each product. Costco employs a few people to demo the taste of some products. People also like to thumb through a Sears catalog or click around Amazon to shop. Many like to ask questions of a person who’s knowledgeable about the product they are considering. Larry King. “One of the problems that I’ve always heard with the industry is, the emphasis on enrolling agents rather than selling the product. Tim Sales, “You’ve heard that, huh? The money can become more important than selling the product. This is an area that Tim feels needs correction.If the distributor is not a consumer of the product, then they do not get customers easily. They may sell a little, but without personal experience on the products they have no story to tell. A leader can’t lead others to places theyve never been. Each sales rep must consune the products and get at least 10 to 20 customers. Then when they onboard someone new onto their team, they teach them how to get 10 to 20 customers. There is nothing wrong with the structure. It is most brilliant. Just like a baseball team working to win is equally brilliant. Without coaching, without proper training the whole team loses. Nobody gave Tim the job, but he volunteers his time on YouTube to train how to succeed in network marketing. Larry King asked Tim. “I would imagine not many Navy SEALs or underwater bomb demolition experts want to, sell products. How did you get into it?” Tim tells us that he was stationed in Florida and he drove around in a boat and saw big houses, and he thought how does a person get that? Tim aspired, he wanted more, and he answered an ad in the newspaper about NuSkin. Tim had confidence that he could learn to do something new. Tim is connected to many companies, and hundreds of different leaders. The proper Ratio is key. The 20/80 rule is to first focus on getting 10-20 customers and learn to answer their questions. Then focus 80 % of your time enrolling and teaching distributors to do the same.
