Rees Howells (1879-1950) was a Welsh intercessor, missionary, and founder of the Bible College of Wales in Swansea. He is best known for his deep commitment to prayer and intercession, believing that one’s prayers could influence the course of events in the world.

Rees was born in a small village in Wales and had little formal education. Rees was drawn to the chapel, not to games. He encountered Jesus at an early age. His first ministry began in South Africa, and then he returned to Wales. His life’s work included strong advocacy for prayer and intercession in response to global events like World War II. With an army of prayer soldiers, the lives of many men were spared.

His life was dedicated to prayer in the Spirit. The Bible College of Wales was founded by this penniless man who trusted God as his only Provider. He trained missionaries and Christian leaders across the globe. Rhinehardt Bohnke was one of his graduate students. Today, Howells is remembered as a significant figure in the Christian intercessory movement.

Jesus came to seek and to save the weary, the soul sick, the brokenhearted, the hopeless, and those afraid. Be refired with a renewed passion by asking the Holy Spirit to ignite a fire in your soul. Do NOT retire from service, but pray that God use your testimony. His grace has extended our time for His purpose. The Holy Spirit is the Teacher of young and old. ❤ Lord Jesus, stretch Your hand and release the fire of God over everyone who reads and listens. Thank You for imparting Your amazing grace on us in this season.
Intercessory prayer is credited to saving 300,000+ weary soldiers at Dunkirk. Jesus came to seek and to save the weary, the soul sick, the brokenhearted, the hopeless, the tired and the frightened. Be inspired. “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me– For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matt 11:28 ❤️

The Audiobook tells a life dedicated to God. At age 12, Rees worked 12 hours a day in a tin mill. He was always generous and used dumb bells to stay fit. His grand parents were converted in an earlier revival. Bible stories were his favorite.
