To examine our heart deeply, we are wise to ask, “Do I lead a life of devotion and obedience to God? Do I enjoy a mind occupied with God’s loving kindness? David labored under the fear that he would be judged and condemned with this ungodly world. He was not in alignment with the enemies of God, and he shuddered that he should be shut up in their company forever. Therefore, David’s agonizing prayer was written with why he should not be condemned. “Lord, I have loved thy habitation, and the place where thine honor dwelleth.” While the ungodly think ,what is in it for me?  They are blind to their pride, vanity, selfish ways, rebellion, hypocrisy, and violent stubbornness. A faithful follower thinks upon all the marvelous works of God, and especially upon His loving kindness. “Thy loving kindness is before mine eyes.” As a person thinketh in their heart, so are they.

To form a right judgment of self, we must examine the SUBJECTS of our DAILY thoughts. If our thoughts go downward, downward do we plunge into the ABYSS of world thinking. When we DEVOTE thoughts towards God and His loving kindness, mercies, and flow of grace, our ASPIRATIONS soar upwards with the pure and perfect Father of Light. Our HOPE ascends towards the heavenly place of eternal GOOD. The evidence of right thinking becomes PUBLIC PROOF of our faith and HOLY actions. “I have walked in thy truth.” Have I done so? It would be vanity for US to find evidence of OUR renewed heart, IF our thoughts are allowed to boast of our knowledge and accomplishments.

Our daily thoughts become valuable evidence of our character. IF our thoughts mimick the world, they are sarcastic, prideful, and consistently spiraling down. Our actions do speak louder than our words, so if we mediate on God’s loving kindness, our actions will indeed bring God glory as we speak to edify others.  To display outward holiness, our inward experience of His grace will keep shining. If our whole conversation is according to the will of God, our thoughts would magnify His Word in action. The deceived may fool themselves, but not God. Holy thoughts result in holy living, and the evidence of God’s Word in us results in a renewed nature. God has given us His Word to think upon, and His loving kindness.  Bless the grace that has so worked upon us,  in us, and through us. We seek in humble,  holy confidence for a greater measure of desire to know God more intimately.  Oh Lord Jesus, we ask for help in our thoughts that we may become uniformly gracious.

A sermon on the Lord’s Day, October 23, 1870 by CH Spurgeon ● 155 years ago.

I choose to mediate on God’s loving kindness and to look for the lavish evidence of His kindness in my life. It is exceedingly profitable to the Christian to have always some subject of thought upon his mind. For the mind that is vacant, frivolous, unoccupied, will be sure to usher in a barren and unprofitable life. In this age, many have theological knowledge, with very clear doctrines, but do the majority know what they believe and believe what they know?  Are were students of the word of God, and warriors who handle our weapons well?  Are we well drilled for the holy war? Do we occupy our seat at church, attend prayer meetings, and study scriptures asking the Holy Spirit for understanding? Do we reverence the inspired prophecies and devoutly think about the precious things of God in a practical, gracious way?  Believers who always occupy themselves NOT with theories and speculations, but with the solid truth that stands strong in the power of His might are blessed by their obedience. When the mind does not receive holy matters to feed upon, as a rule it prays upon itself. The mind, when it eats into itself, forms doubts, fears, suspicions, and complaints.  If you believer, do not meditate upon some scriptural subject, your minds will probably turn to vanity or to some evil within yourselves.

By musing on the promises of the Holy Spirit, we grow into good soldiers and happy pilgrims. Those who choose to feed their souls what the Liar broadcasts, Satan takes advantage and fills them with unholy thoughts. They are molested with horrible insinuations, dreadful suggestions, and revolting ideas. What remedy do they have to escape from this horrible torment? Never go out in the morning without placing under your tongue a text of scripture. Think of it as a heavenly gift, toasted with honey. Occupy your mind with heavenly subjects, and banish all evil with strong and willful defiance.  If the channel of the soul is filled with a strong stream of pure thoughts, there is no room for the muddy filth lying at the bottom. Refuse to indulge like the bottom feeders! A powerful stream of holy scripture will scour the foul deposits of unholy thought. TRUTH:  Weeds choke the good seed planted, but a GOOD seed watered, GROWS. Where Jesus is, the temptor is driven out of the temple. As temples of the Holy Spirit, we are wise to fill our ribcage with the birds of paradise, the word of God. When our soul is full of light and things divine, dark thoughts are wiped out. A most worthy theme to ponder is God’s loving kindness. Oh bless the Lord, oh my soul, may Thy mercies never be forgotten into the dark pit of unthankfulness. Oh God, day after day, send us a fresh gush of mercy. We  treat Your continuous flow of  generous favor as a treasure. Your banner of love over us covers our many transgressions, and we are grateful. Your infinite goodness deserves a large share of our thoughts. Oh Lord, help keep us from the excessive indulgence of what our flesh desires, as You forgive us, 70 x 7.

Thinking of the divine loving kindness humbles us. Why such goodness to me? Me, the least of all Thy worthy saints. As the Lord is faithfully good, then amid every adversity my spirit shall rejoice in the Lord and glory in the God of my salvation. May His way become our way as it does stimulate us to be full of loving kindness to others. As God hath loved us so bountifully, we are bound to pity and assist the poor and needy. To set His loving kindness before our eyes is not to select a narrow theme that we can soon exhaust. It is an endless topic as His loving kindness has no beginning or end. His loving kindness lifts us as high as heaven.  It is deeper than the hell from which it has redeemed us. It is wide as the east is from the west, for so far hath God removed all our sins. Drench in this stream up to your ears, proceed in meditation deeper still, for you shall find it a refreshing river to swim in.  See the loving kindness of God in the land in which you were born, in the times in which your life was cast, in the mercies in which your life is now surrounded. You may see the loving kindness of God spread far, deep, and wide.
We can’t go to bed without seeing God there. How many hymns awaken memories of the tender mercies past? The home and the vehicle you drive can stir up fond memories as to what God has done in days gone by. A soul can never become weary of the cares and burdens of life when filtered through God’s loving kindness. We bear our burdens and conflicts best as we think of the endless grace of the great Preserver of all mankind.

People cannot send the mind up the chimney and expect it to come down white. Whatever road our thoughts traverse, the body will chase after them. David had thought upon God’s loving kindness, and his whole spirit went after his thoughts, and he walked in God’s truth. It is certain that God loves those whom He now created before time began. Those who are the favored of God are in His  possession. We were loved before the foundation stone of creation was laid. There is room for every restored soul to revel and riot with holy delight in His ever lasting love.  The moment the heart gets into the enjoyment of it, it gladly sings, I will walk in God’s truth. God has loved us before the world began and He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings. We sit still to contemplate His  covenant of grace, and His foreknowledge of us. The expanse of His brightness is the gem that glistens bright in our souls.  Let another ray of light flash from within the diamond He fashions. Think of the beauty within it. God’s loving kindness to us was honestly undeserved. He loved us NOT because there was anything lovable about us, but because He CHOSE to do so. He is an absolute SOVEREIGN, and He does as He wills with His own. It is because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, that He has had mercy upon us. As God so freely loved us, what shall we say and do? Surely, we must freely love Him in return. It is impossible to love God as He loves us. We simply do our best to choose to love Him with our entire being.  It is NOT FICTION that God loves His people. There is no question about the matter. His divine love is as certainly yours as His power is displayed in ALL creation. Well then, let your obedience be real in return and truly serve Him. God’s loving kindness never pauses a minute. It has been as constant as the flight of time.

God has gifted Michael 73 years on earth so far, ♡ plus the promise of eternity.

Happy Birthday to my amazing husband, my best friend. To celebrate life with you has been a gift from God. You completed 73 years on October 24, 2025 and it has been my privilege to spend 15 years together. Life is joy filled with HOPE in Jesus! Considering His loving kindness to connect us! Life is Better Together!

1. Think about the many gatherings that we have hosted at the casa with friends. Each Christmas, Jesus is in our midst as we celebrate His sacrifice, and His resurrection in us.

2. We have enjoyed extravagant meals and dinners at home and dining out with Jesus. His grace took us there and fed us.

3. Gift Giving is fun as we exchange the presence of the Holy Spirit together.

4. Engaging in tradition, and glad obedience, we pray before meals and for each other and our friends. His loving kindness increases our faith in .miracles.

5. Travel to Israel, Canada, and to several beaches was made possible by His lavish provision. Our cruise with Sandy Patti to Puerto Rico to reach the lost, He was there!

6. Outdoors in His glory we kayaked in Lodi Lake, and in the Sea of Cortez. He led us to cruise with my cousin in a massive sail boat while He raised up dolphins to dance before us. Diving off the AlleyCat in honeymoon cove. Attending a football game in Manteca with Marge and Trina to watch Jordan play. Taking Heather to Manzanillo Beach for a Dairy Queen treat, God was our generous Provider.

7. The Project to launch a global business from our cornfield in San Nicolas de Ibarra was His idea and in obedience we serve others.

8. Volunteering time and funds to LaOla, Love in Action, and Hope House for boys was made possible by His loving kindness, provision, and grace.

9. Cultural Experiences in Mexico  attending theater, parades, and art exhibitions at Lake Chapala Society and the annual Feria de Maestros with a fashion show was a demonstration of His loving kindness.

10. Spa Days in San Juan Cosala to luxuriate in great splendor, His signature handprint coveted us.

God has been so good to us!
