To see is to believe! It took a blazing sign from heaven for a pride filled king to humbly acknowledge the God of heaven. Humble yourself before the only true God, and He will astonish you with His glory.

Three bold men— willfully paid zero attention to the decree of the king of Babylon. While all the people of authority in all the provinces gathered to worship the giant, golden image of the king — without any hesitation, these three men of God who had previously DECIDED to worship their GOD alone, these men boldly refused to bow down or worship a mere man. The entire massive crowd had been placed under threat to worship or die — but Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, even knowing they faced a fire for rejecting the king’s decree, stood up and courageously spoke what others only wished they might have also declared. Self-preservation had prevented the entire crowds’ obedience. These 3 young men of great faith risked their life to remain true to God. They were bound and thrown into a furnace of fire. The kings heart was transformed when he witnessed these 3 unbound with a 4th man in the fire. Upon their unscourched release in front of all the king’s counselors, the humbled king proclaimed, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego!”

Daniel 3:28
Like Nehemiah, Daniel confessed his sins and the sins of Babylon and Jerusalem and humbly asked for God’s mercy.
“My God, turn your ear, and hear. Open your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our petitions before You for our righteousness, but for Your great mercies’ sake.” Daniel 9:18 Jewish Bible

“HUMBLE yourself, and God will lift you up.” We owe everything to our Creator. Our main goal, and our only satisfied contentment —now and forever—is to offer ourselves to God as empty vessels that He fills and uses. Our Father gives us life moment by moment, with a constant working of His mighty power. Humility—is the place of total dependence on God— Our resistance, or any doubt in God is based on a pride—that we know better. Pride is the loss of humility—it is the root of every sin.
