The desire for a deeper relationship with God leads us into repentance. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 ❤️ “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded.” James 4:8 ❤️ These living scriptures were breathed by God for His purpose.  Our Father longs to forgive us, but we must ask to be made holy, as the Bride He rescues is purified.  Examination and confession realigns our spirit with God’s perfect will through repentance. As the body of Christ, we represent His Bride, His church. Apply the warnings personally.

To those who say they believe in Jesus yet behave like the church in Laodicea,  these are the words of our faithful Ruler of God’s creation. Jesus knows your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. He desires His followers to be hot or cold. Because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—Jesus is about to spit you out of His mouth. You depend on your wealth, and do not need a thing.  You do NOT REALIZE that you are WRETCHED, PITIFUL, poor, BLIND and NAKED. Jesus warns you to buy from Him gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

Those whom Jesus loves,  He rebukes and disciplines. Be earnest and repent. Time is running out, the Holy Spirit is here, standing at the door of your heart and knocking. If anyone hears His voice and opens the door, He will come in and eat with that person, and they with Him. To the one who is victorious, Jesus will give the right to sit with Him on His throne, just as He was victorious and sat down with His Father on His throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:14-22

The the body of Christ Jesus who once were on fire for the Lord like the church in Ephesus. You have done a lot of good works, and yet Jesus holds this against you: You have forsaken the love you had for Jesus at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:4

To the poor heart of a believer like a church in Smyrna. Jesus knows your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! Jews slandered the church as a synagogue of Satan. Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.” Revelation 2:9-11

To the churches today like Pergamum. These are the words of Jesus who has the sharp, double-edged sword. He knows where your heart lives—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain publically true to My name. You do not renounce your faith in Jesus –Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: Some hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak and commit sexual immorality. Repent therefore! Otherwise, Jesus will soon come —-to your defiled temple and fight against you with the sword of His mouth. Revelation 2:12 applied. AMEN

To the church like Thyatira today. The Son of God, Jesus whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. He knows your deeds, your love and faith, and perseverance, but Jesus is judging you because you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality. Jesus will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that the Holy Spirit  searches hearts and minds, and God will repay each of you according to your deeds. To the congregation God says “do not hold to Jezebel’s teaching, do not learn Satan’s deep secrets, Jesus will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to the TRUTH until I come.’ To the BELIEVER who is victorious and does MY will to the end, I will give authority over the nations” Revelation 2:18

To the body of Christ like Sardis, Jesus knows all your deeds. You appear to be holy, but deny God’s power. You have an empty reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what FAITH IN JESUS remains and is about to die!  Your deeds are unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember that God delivered unto you the Holy Spirit whom you received and HEARD; hold it fast, and REPENT. But if you do NOT wake up, I will come like a THIEF, and you will not KNOW at what time I will come to you. A few MEMBERS have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with ME, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the BOOK of LIFE, but will acknowledge that name before MY Father and HIS angels.” Revelation 3:1-5

To the body of believers in a church like Philadelphia, Jesus who is holy and true, opens the door to heaven that no one can shut. Jesus also shuts the door to heaven that one can open. Jesus said “I know your deeds. I have placed before you an OPEN door that no one can shut. I know that you have LITTLE strength, yet you have kept MY WORD and have NOT denied MY name. I have loved you as you kept MY command to ENDURE patiently, I will also keep you from the HOUR of TRIAL that is going to come on the WHOLE WORLD to TEST the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to YOUR FAITH IN ME so that no one will take your crown. The saint who is victorious Jesus —  I will also write on them MY new name.” Revelation 3:7-12
