The double portion is our given inheritance, and it is up to us to receive that which God intends. Our heavenly Father’s blessings increase with our obedience. 2 Kings 2:9-10 “Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.’ Elisha asked, ‘Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.’ Elijah replied, ‘You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if you do not see me, it shall not be so.'” Elisha was obedient after asking for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. He followed Elijah closely to receive the greater anointing and empowerment for his ministry. Draw close to Jesus and in your obedience, you shall gain a double portion.

Isaiah 61:7 “Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.” God promises restoration and blessings to His people, indicating that they will receive a double portion of blessings in exchange for their past shame and suffering. Job 42:10 “The Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Pray for others

The FULLNESS of God includes His completeness, His nature. Embrace His daily grace with gratitude, and His divine presence will be more than sufficient.
Colossians 2:9-10 “For in Him the whole FULLNESS of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in HIM, who is the HEAD of all rule and authority.”
Ephesians 3:19 “To know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the FULLNESS of God.”
John 1:16.”For from HIS FULLNESS we have all received, GRACE upon grace.”
Ephesians 1:22-23 “He put all things under His feet and gave Him as Head over all things to the church, which is HIS body, the FULLNESS of Him who fills ALL in all.”
Romans 11:36 “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever.”
Philippians 1:11 “FILLED with the FRUIT of righteousness that COMES through JESUS Christ, to the GLORY and praise of GOD.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the GLORY of God.”

A personal journey from pride and hidden sin to understanding God’s unconditional love and redemptive grace. Pride keeps us in performance mode. God knows our motives, our hearts, and our reasons to not need to repent. “I repented and was baptized long ago, and I now pride myself in all the things I’ve done. I’m certainly doing better than those in prison! So I look at who sits in church and I compare myself to somebody else and feel spiritually superior.” OH Lord, as You say, my heart is deceitful, there is so much pride stored up in me. I am addicted to the likes, or the affirmations of others. I tell myself that I am humble, and that I’m doing everything right to earn God’s love and His favor. I once saw myself as unworthy and beyond redemption. But God, even knowing my heart, He has provided me with daily grace, mercy, patience, love, and kindness. Shocked at why God keeps loving me, His Spirit reminfed me that God has a purpose for my life. He has kept all my tears in a bottle. Seeking to understand His Way of loving the unlovable, led me to resonate with every flawed character in the Bible. Humbled before the Lord, I am in fact His work in progress and I yet struggle to receive the fullness of His love.

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” God does not lie, and His Word is true. If I seek with all my heart, He will reveal why His love never fails. Just read the Word of God and ask for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and He will. The God of the universe will speak to you through His word. He will not remind you of all you’ve done wrong, but He will hug your heart with His love. Romans 5:8 “God demonstrates His own love toward us and that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” Jesus came and He died for you so that if you repent of your sin you can be forgiven and you can know Him. God loves you not because you are lovable, Jesus loves you
because God is love and He showed His love on the cross. We can never deserve it and we can never earn it. Lord if there’s sin in my heart or if I’m hiding something from You or myself, if I’m ignoring the Holy Spirit convictions because my flesh wants something else, reveal all to me. Help me to bring it into the light and just be honest with God. I want to walk in healing and in the light. My heart’s desire is to honor God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” No matter how hidden my sin is, God has grace for us today and the grace is found in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Lord I repent, I’m not going to live hiding anything anymore. Forgive me and make me new. AMEN Jonah ran and hid from the presence of the Lord. Today one of the places believers can hide easily is in church doing Christian things. It is easy to disconnect from the spirit of God and stop walking in a personal relationship with Him and just do the next Christian thing. God has grace for those who turn and bring it out into the light. Lord I’ve been running from You I’ve not been listening to YOUR SPIRIT as I’ve been trying to get my own way in my life. Forgive me, I want Your plan for my life, Your way whatever that looks like. For Jonah, being swallowed by a fish was not God’s judgment, it was a sign of God’s grace. It was a moment of repentance, redemption and restoration. Ephesians 5:14 “all things become visible when they are exposed by the light.” Lord I trust You to sanctify me, to help me, to redeem my habits that I don’t need to hold on to anymore. AMEN

Humbly serve others because whatever you do for the lost, broken, the poor, you do for Jesus. “The Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, as God looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
