We teach by our example, good or bad. All nations, all people have certain freedoms to hold dear. The freedoms in the USA include the right to speak our minds, and the freedom to worship God. It is important to stop and consider what our current actions and words are teaching our children? There is a severe spiritual danger in bragging, boasting and insisting that our way, our choice, our understanding is superior to all…..online, or face to face. The world wide web allows and actually incites people to agree or disagree with something written online. What we are warned NOT to do in God’s word…is to believe that our ways, our words, our efforts are superior to His. The internet even allows a person to post anonymously, but God knows who is His, the content and the intention of our hearts. The Internet encourages that oldest and greatest of sins—pride! When we dismiss and/or belittle the opinions of others —-
out loud, in writing, in our mumbling, or while we gossip about our superior ways….we imply that our own opinions are so obviously above criticism – and that no other ideas merit consideration. This amount of self-certainty is not allowed to Christians, who are called to humility and awareness of our fallibility. We are drawn into the spiritual battle of CNN vs the President and our part is simply to go to our closet and PRAY for God to do His work in the hearts of those involved. Truth cannot be killed with lies and cover-ups. God knows our hearts and He will judge all.
While we humbly forsake our opinions of those who think differently and as one party delights in grumbling about the insanity of the other party – we MUST remember that Jesus died for all sin, and Jesus is the Judge who is coming back. The supreme court Justice over all will have the final word. AMEN Sebastian Gorka has a SUMMER camp for kids whose parents were taken to prison. Listen to his interview with KT McFarland, a warrior princess who held positions in security for Trump, Regan, Ford and Nixon Administrations. Her book is on Amazon. THEREFORE, let us pray for one another and CEASE being party persuaded. God commands His people to pray for all leaders. Our party, our choices, our opinions — are all one Nation, under God, indivisible UNLESS we VOTE God out of His land.
Our Father owns all the hills, yes even Capitol Hill. On the National Day of Prayer 2020 General Flynn was exonerated of all charges. All praise and glory to God, perfect Justice will continue to be served. Let us once again — repent, and turn away from the lying, gossip, and self-righteous thinking.
Oh God forgive us for the sin of our PRIDE of being American, a Republican, or a Democrat. Thank You Jesus for turning our hearts and minds to thy living and active Word. In this world of “spin” and outright lies, Jesus assures us that His eyes see everything, and that He knows our hearts, our intentions with perfect, holy clarity! Idol-making comes naturally to all people. Even good things, great causes, grand schemes, growing teams and giant church leaders can become idols when they slither into our first thoughts in the morning. Let us cry out to Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal in us what is not pleasing to our Lord. Oh Lord, a contrite heart is a teachable soul and Your word confirms that You will empower us to live for God as we surrender our ways, our plans, our desires so that we can become more like Jesus. Thank You Father for looking upon me through the eyes of grace. I trust God, His word and the Holy Spirit to renew my mind so that I can remember that my Lord see’s me radiantly attired in the garment of salvation, and His righteousness. “I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10 – Let us celebrate that we are the bride of Christ and that our Freedom is “in Christ” alone! — “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him” 2 Chronicles 16:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9 –“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first Love.” Revelation 2:4
