Invite your imagination to soar up and away from the fray. Think of heavenly colors, sounds and tastes. Sustain your joy with these assurances from God: “Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.” Psalm 85:11 “A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.” Psalm 37:10 So look up and enjoy a sudden burst of ideas on how you can remain busy serving others. “He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.” Hebrews 9:28

God created all beauty for our pleasure, so enjoy it! There is always a delicious bonus in our obedience. Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” ❤️ Remember the Lord has prepared a banquet for us! Bring out your grandmother’s china and plan a party, or simply surprise someone by setting a beautiful table. Do it with the intention to make them feel loved, cared for, respected, appreciated or just because. Respond to the nudge of the Spirit and have fun being His servant. Luke 14:12-14 “Then Jesus said to His host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

A story of HOPE! God is always at work, AMEN! He goes before us, He opens doors, He arranges divine appointments, and He equips us with right words and actions that we might partake in His plan. It was a normal afternoon as I was whistling a happy tune driving towards home. The thought popped in “we need a fence on the roof to keep Rags from trespassing on our neighbors roof” The local ironworker was not available, so I drove around the corner and witnessed a blue collar tattooed laborer on a jobsite. In my best Spanglish I asked “Por favor, I need a small job done at mi casa, could I get an estimate?” Later that day Charlie and Carlos came by, The very next day they hauled up several tools to the roof and began work. I was out front when the doorbell rang. The garage doors opened wide and another laborer yelled up to Charlie on the roof. Charlie came down and got distressing news for Carlos. His 35 year old wife just died. Charlie was shaken wondering how he would tell his buddy on the roof. I asked if I could pray, Charlie humbly bowed his head. ” Jesus Cristo es Reyes and He will give you words.” I tucked in a few dineros inside a Spanish Biblia as a gift for the widower and told Charlie to give it to Carlos at the right time. ❤️ The following day work resumed with a new crew. It was a surprise to all when the widower Carlos returned with tears and said “I must work through my grief” ❤️ To their surprise, I trusted that the gringo style tacos I prepared would allow them a time of peace in the garden. Two days later Charlie returned to finish the job. I inquired where is your car? Charlie replied “Carlos needed wheels to ride in the parade as his wife was placed at the cemetery.” That evening Charlie was packing up his tools and Carlos came to return his car. Carlos walked toward me misty eyed and gave me a silent hug. I returned to the casa to fetch the dinero and when I returned I found Carlos, in his best Sunday clothing, stooped over pulling the weeds up in front of my casa. Carlos had read a bit of God’s comforting words and he showed his gratitude in the only way he could. We serve a living and active Father who is always at work. Our Father knew before I engaged these two men that a wife and mother would breathe her last. Astonished that He chose me to be His instrument in this situation as my Spanish is so speckled. I share this testimony to praise my all knowing Father for the courage He invested in me that I may serve His purpose. I did my best and said “Este es un buen momento para preparar sus corazones para recibir a Jesus, porque nuestro Maestro regresará pronto.” This is a good time to prepare your hearts to receive Jesus for our Master is returning soon. Yes, our Master hopes to find us all willing to assist Him up to the very hour He returns to snatch us up. Going about our Father’s business will most certainly get us out of our comfort zone, but He is in our midst and encouraging us with just the right words and actions to take. Praise the Lord, as He does not expect us to do much, as we witness His grace in action. Looking back in my rear view mirror, I can say “Well done Father!” —

What will we be remembered for? Our kindness, our generosity or how we committed our lives to God? When the church is snatched up to meet Jesus in the clouds, we will leave behind our Bibles for others to find. Write them a note of encouragement. The written Word is valuable – and I leave this thought tucked here to be discovered when I am long gone. “JESUS LOVES YOU!” Find a Bible left behind, read the book of John and be encouraged that even though there are no more congregations of believers, you can still talk to God, tell Him you are sorry for mistrusting Him, and invite Jesus into your heart. Resist the mark of the beast and trust God’s Promises. JOHN
