The truth is that we are never alone! Even if a person has no friends or family to celebrate Thanksgiving with, consider the truth of two hearts beating as one ‘in Him’. Alone or in a crowd, you were loved before you were born and God loves you as you are. Our Father challenges us to get to know Him by the lavish love He pours out, even though He knows all your secrets, and all the stuff you may deny about yourself. “I will never forsake you, I will never abandon you”. Wherever you are, Jesus is, and therefore you are not alone. Psalm 36:9 “For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.” After suffering a spiritual drought…a switch was flipped, and His light filled me. Our Lord speaks to us in many delightful ways. 😊 “He will lead them to springs of living water.” Revelation 7:17
Our fountain has been dry this week and I noted a beautiful orange bird jumping from the top bowl, to the second bowl looking for water. This morning my husband filled the fountain as I watched the first gush rise up from the depth…it took a while for the top bowl to fill up and spill over into the 2nd tier…a longer time elapsed for the 2nd tier to run over and down into the largest bowl from where the pump thrust up the initial gush that eventually overflowed.
John 7:38 “Whoever believes in Me as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow within them.” John 4:10 “Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and Who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water.” After making a broccoli salad for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving Feast with friends, Mike and I took Rags on a walk and we took time to sniff the blooms and be grateful. We stopped by the Hummingbird Cafe and enjoyed a pumpkin muffin, strolled the malecon, then happily buzzed through the Railroad Museum. This has been a thrilling Anniversary and Thanksgiving week. Mike and I danced to the Doo Wops, attended a fund raising Stallion Show, surprised Carol with a Feliz Navidad poinsettia, witnessed a miraculous healing for Marcia, and Barb was offered a paid PR position at the age of 70. After much prayer, Barb chose to continue to represent Jesus and His free gift over working for a paycheck. When people pause to consider all the hardships the Pilgrims endured, it is easy to rejoice always, even in the back of an ambulance! Today Rags picked up the scent of lizards lingering and he wagged his tail in gratitude. Moment by moment, Immanuel, God is with us and He loves us as we are, and we praise Him for His plans, His ways, and His perfect love.
This is the 400th Thanksgiving to be celebrated since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth rock. The left is trying to overturn the ruling of the court and rewrite history, however, FACTS are stubborn things. This week we saw a RARE full eclipse of the moon as Thanksgiving is about to be cancelled or changed into a day of mourning for the indian tribes that were killed. American history honors hard work, suffering and success. Jack Hibbs goes thru the hand written account of William Bradford who was on board the Mayflower. VERY worthy of watching to give us all HOPE as we hang onto the truth of our nation.
Genuine transformation begins with surrender, shock, then the full embrace of God’s Perfect Love that casts out all fear. A worthwhile listen a few times while contemplating your spiritual journey. Full Surrender to the Perfect Love of God is a journey that requires uninterrupted time with God. All love relationships slowly develop over time. Trust increases as we learn by experience …that we are loved not because we are without flaws, but Perfect Love …loves us regardless of our weakness, sins, failures, and doubts. This book oozes hope for all of us who long to become more loving, as we snuggle closer to God and become pure reflectors of Who Jesus is. Enjoyed the reverent lowered voice tone of Scripture and the questions for reflection. A profound explanation of real transformation. Well done! “Surrender to Love” by David G. Benner, a Christian Psychologist. This audiobook reminded me to PRAISE GOD and give thanks for the wisdom of total surrender. https://www.audible.ca/pd/B071973KHJ?source_code=ASSOR150

“Ye be filled with the Holy Spirit” Are you at peace as a Spirit filled Pilgrim? Are you convinced that by the blood of Jesus, your right to a full, Spirit-filled life—was purchased? Do you believe in His sufficiency, based on your experience, or a teaching? His will and plan is for you to walk and listen in the Spirit. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is NOT a deluxe version of worthiness only obtained by a few. Dine on the Bread of Life. Ask God for increased faith and clarity. Do not strain to know more, but be still and experience more of Who God is in your weakness, in the midst of your known doubt. God is with us, Immanuel knows us and longs for our undivided attention. “Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this” 2 Tim 2:7 Ask “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” Psalm 119:18 Listen more, talk less. “The Gift of Being Yourself ” by David G Benner is a book that Mike and I are working through together.
