It was an ordinary Monday for most people who woke up, washed up, dressed appropriately for work, yardwork, or for a day shopping. Dec 13, 2021 was a day for me to witness the power of Jesus at work performing the miraculous! After church, God answered a deep yearn in my heart. Ken invited me to join he and his wife Susanna to circle the lake to drop off some gifts and get some paperwork completed. My heart gushed with joy as my mouth said “YES”. “Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.” The day began with my car’s dead battery. Just like my car needed a jolt, Ken and Susanna recharged my heart’s battery!

This awesome missionary couple stand up in church at least once a month to share how God used them to draw people to Christ. Ken and Susanna have been severely persecuted for their bold witness, but they are able to withstand whatever the enemy places before them because of their reliance and dependence on God. Our faith grows as we hear the Word and as we watch the Word in action through others. Matthew 5:11-12 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

In the tiny pueblo of Tizapan, I was blessed to witness how these missionaries were warmly received by many. They knew each family by their names, health struggles and work habits. Important signatures were needed so we arrived just before the daily milking of the cows was finished. Before we left, we were served a healthy midday meal that kept us all eager to finish the tasks ahead. After the good medicine of food and fellowship, with merry hearts we drove into town to deliver important signed documents to the Presidente. The town square of this village surged with the Christmas spirit of God Almighty. Being a retired civil servant, to see a town celebrating Jesus publically gives me hope for all nations of people who are searching for the Truth. The generosity of His Spirit was uncontainable. The shining countenance of His joy is a magnificent way of simply spreading Jesus is alive in me. This couple wisely reinvests all the resources that He entrusted to them. Shine Bright and encourage others with words that bless. “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12 “Surely You have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of Your presence.” Psalm 21:6

Listening to testimony after testimony, Monday was my day to witness how God uses those who joyfully go about building the kingdom of God. John 4:23 “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” Ken and Susanna worship the Lord with all the gifts He has uniquely given them. It was a special Christmas gift from God to have Susanna give me a chiropractic adjustment and provide me with natural remedies to strengthen my heart and lungs. Hallelujah “A merry heart doeth good like good medicine.” Proverbs 17:22 Joyfulness is the radiant countenance of God in our midst shining His light through our smiles. Merry Christmas to all, and to all, spend a full day in His glorious Presence.

Galatians 4:4-7 “But when the set time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir.” Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
