On March 3, 1933 a positive movement began by a regular guy, once an atheist who got converted by an inspired written word. Under the influence of alcohol, a wannabe sailor named Dawson Trotman was arrested and on his way to jail. The policeman asked, “Do you like your life?” Trotman replied “Sir, I hate it,” Three hours later, after Trotman sobered up, the policeman returned his car keys to him on the strength of a pledge to do better. That weekend, Dawson found his way to church. His Sunday school leader assigned him ten salvation verses to memorize. With twenty verses in his head, after just 3 short weeks, Dawson drifted backwards and began drinking again. This wasn’t his first time in church. He had been stretching the truth and stealing since a child, he even had become president of a church’s young people’s society, and yet his heart had not been changed. One day the Spirit of God came upon Dawson

and suddenly it registered with him that he could have everlasting life just as Jesus gave to a man who had been shipwrecked 38 years. Jesus asked him “do you want to be made well?” the cripple replied “I have no MAN to put me into the pool” Jesus said “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” Dawson prayed, “O God, whatever that means, I want to have it.” Another verse flashed into his mind, “But as many as received Him [Jesus], to them gave He power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” Dawson pleaded to “receive” Jesus right then–whatever that meant. Dawson picked up his sick bed and began walking after Jesus. He was working as a truck driver in California, and he shared with a sailor named Les Spencer how he was now living for Christ. Another sailor asked Spencer the secret of his changed life.

Spencer brought the curious sailor to Trotman and asked him to teach him. Trotman felt exasperated. He had just spent months passing on to Spencer everything he needed to know about walking in the light. “You teach him!” Dawson said. That was the beginning of the “Navigators”. Trotman and his friends founded the Navigators on this day, March 3, 1933. (The organization was not incorporated for another decade.) Soon Spencer and his shipmate were teaching 125 men aboard the USS West Virginia, who, in turn, taught others aboard the ships that soon would be sunk at Pearl Harbor. Dawson Trotman, a dashing man who had been valedictorian of his class and student president, continued to put his talents to good use. The Navigators grew and grew. Today over 100,000 people subscribe to its Discipleship Journal. You may have seen other study guides and books that the organization publishes, or their prayer magazine. More than 3,000 people work for the Navigators in almost a hundred nations. That is how one man’s obedience snowballed. Dawson Trotman died in 1956, rescuing a girl from drowning. Billy Graham, whose ministry used Navigators’ material, preached at Dawson’s funeral.

March 3, 2022 are we watching WW3 begin? If we know Jesus is our Saviour – we can celebrate that we are the generation that will not pass away. Today we cannot hide from the evil atrocities in the USA, Australia, China, Russia, Afghanistan or Ukraine. Schools and residential areas are targeted as Russia advances with nuclear weapons. Instead of seeking wisdom from God, world leaders bit the apple, as they seek to know more, and to be more illilumned like Lucifer, to be more powerful, and take more control. Reveling in Revelation the people of God know His plans for them and His plans for the world. “Do not fear” is repeated in Scriptures 458 times in the NIV Bible and 39 times in book of Hebrews. We “Rejoice” because our redemption draws near, but we have a heart for the lost. Peace will never enter with peace talks. The UN or NATO cannot bring individual peace. Peace can only come from the Prince of Peace. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 Satan is the author of confusion and he is using the media to install fear and terror. Unfortunately, believers who aren’t grounded in the Word are his easiest prey. A lack of knowledge of the Word leads citizens of this world into confusion. “that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each others faith.” Romans 1:12 Faith in Gods perfect plan. The Creator of all, our Father tells us in His word that Satan himself has a secret society of followers who think they are doing good. “Even as the gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age (illuminati) has blinded, who do NOT believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God should shine on them” 2 Corin 4:3-4 Many people today have bought the lie and their minds have been closed.
