Ask the world and you will hear “Man is basically good!” If that is the truth then why is there so much evil in the world? Ask a good man on the street what evil is and one might hear “Evil is doing something destructive and feeling justified by your good intention to eliminate that which prevents any individual from pursuing their right to happiness.” The world doctrine or teaching within every level of schooling supports Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. The needs of mankind are: 1) Self-Actualization “do whatever feels good to you.” 2) Esteem “self respect – self status – self strength – self freedom” Children are exposed to lies, and to predators that seek to satisfy the lust of their flesh. Eternal consequences?

3) Love “feel love with a sense of belonging through behavior, society, family – BLM, gangs, Antifa, Democrat, Republican. 4) Safety “individual security, health and pleasure is first. 5) Physiological “each individual has the right to get adequate air, food, clothing, water, stuff they need.” The humanistic worldview promotes self-help, self-pleasure and freedom for all types. This 20th century movement has swept through all levels of education to the point that kids in 2022 can freely choose their gender, abortion and the right to control the climate so that their needs, their preferences are met.

All of Maslow’s law directly opposes God’s commands. It teaches humanity that all physical, personal and emotional needs must be satisfied, without guilt. People should be FREE to follow their heart’s desires. The United States of America was founded on God’s word and the Bible was the first text in American schools. Our history has been toppled along with statues that represent anything that opposes Maslow’s law. The purpose of the biggest lie circling the globe — by those who desire to usurp God’s sovereign power – is to simply destroy any inner conflict of a moral conscience by denying that God even exists. The world confronts any faith in God with the superior intellect of science asking “If there is a God, why would a so called loving God allow evil?” Bertrand Russell, a British philosopher, logician, and public intellectual – admitted that evil exists and that man inflicts it.

A Christian response “Man was indeed made in God’s image, but in the beginning, man rebelled and fell from the grace of God. Our Creator does not force Himself or His ways on any person. He allows all mankind to choose Him over the ways of the world. If man evolved from an ape, if man is without a conscience or a spirit, then why would the notion of evil bother humanity? Do apes, dogs or cats suffer evil? By whom do they suffer? By the hand of God, or the hand of man?” God’s Word is full of promises and He says “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5 NIV. This highly unpopular warning OFFENDS those who prefer all that their flesh desires. “I want sex with a child! I was born a man, but I prefer being a woman!”

Back to the origin of man and who is he? According to God’s word, what is the need of man? What is the essence of man? Male and female were made in God’s image, with the duality of flesh and spirit. Man’s morale state is fallen, sinful and selfish. Man’s need is forgiveness and redemption by it’s Creator God. Contrary to Maslow’s Law – which promotes there is no God, and there is no evil. God says we will live forever, eternally in heaven or hell and that we will be held accountable for every word we speak. Our Father encourages us “Brothers and sisters, you were called to be free, but do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather serve one another (not self) humbly in love. So I say walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:13-16. We can easily witness God’s knowledge of the human heart as we watch the nightly news —or choose to believe, evil does not exist.

The Message in the beginning Genesis 6:5-8 “God saw that human evil was out of control. People thought evil, imagined evil—evil, evil, evil from morning to night.” The NIV translation vividly portrays man’s heart. “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” God was sorry that He had made the human race; the condition of man’s heart, broke the Creator’s heart. God said, “I’ll get rid of My ruined creation, I will make a clean sweep: and wipe out all people, animals, snakes and bugs, birds—the works. I’m sorry I made them.  But Noah was different. God liked what he saw in Noah.” The Message – Our Father found only one man named Noah who believed in God. In the middle of the desert, as people all around laughed, Noah built an Ark according to God’s specific instruction, to save his family from the coming flood that God warned of. Noah was watched, he preached by his example while the rest of humanity believed that Noah got caught up in a conspiracy theory!

Romans 7:15- 25 “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do NOT do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing…. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” God’s Word gives us a way out of living forever in hell. Romans 5:17 “If, by the trespass of the one man, (Adam) death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” Our Father tells us the truth and He has exercised tremendous patience, kindness, mercy and grace as He waits on all mankind to choose Him. Another popular humanist philosopher is Ayn Rand who commands that the world is as you think it.

Psalms 111:1-10 The Message “God’s works are so great, worth a lifetime of study—endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark His craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles are His memorial— This God of Grace, this God of Love. He gave food to those who fear Him, He keeps His ancient promises. He proved to His people that He could do what He said. He manufactures truth and justice; All His products are guaranteed to last— Never out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof. All that He makes and does is honest and true: He paid the ransom for His people. The good life begins in the fear of God— Do that and you’ll know the blessing of God. His Hallelujah lasts forever!” The Christian believes that every word of God was written by the Spirit of God for our beneficial instruction. David wrote “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? For I have always been mindful of Your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on Your faithfulness.” Psalms 8:4 and 127:5. God’s chosen instrument, the Prophet Isaiah 48:16 ” Come near Me and listen to this: ‘From the first announcement I have not spoken in secret; at the time it happens, I am there.’ and now the Sovereign Lord has sent me, endowed with His Spirit.” The world teaches that man evolved from an Ape, or the other popular humanistic option is to believe that all things resulted from a cosmic explosion and man randomly and mysteriously developed DNA with a brain. Man self-actualized with a Master’s degree commends himself to know more than his creator God. There are LIES and there is TRUTH. What is Truth?

Focus on the Family produced the Truth Project. Tour 3 asks “Who is man?” In God’s sight, those who choose to surrender to the Truth, His way, and accept Jesus as their Savior, we are infinitely blessed with His written word. Who we are ‘in Him’? We are chosen, adopted, a child of Almighty God, reconciled to God in harmony, seen by God as holy and blameless above reproach, sealed with the Holy Spirit, called to accomplish His purpose, a citizen of heaven, justified and declared right in His sight, sanctified and set apart for His purpose and pleasure, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, an heir of God and joint heir with Christ, complete in Christ, an ambassador of Christ representing Him and His word, as we are being conformed to the image of Christ with the mind of Christ. AMEN and HALLELUJAH!
