Questions get answered when we nuzzle up to our loving Father. When I asked “what reason did the Son of God appear? Why did the Father allow Jesus to suffer?” God’s Word told me that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and set the captives free! Hmmm, then why do Christians still suffer so much?

Our Creator blessed us with all we needed in the garden. The first couple was given the freedom to choose, and their disobedience was a call for justice. God sent His Son down to earth — to undo the curse, and to turn around the deception of the serpent in Genesis 3. Dining on this one truth for a long while, I jotted down notes as I listened intently to the “Name Above All Names” by Alistair Begg. Take time to digest the significance of what God tells us in Genesis.

Were you there when He created and dispatched the cloud cover? Who told the shoreline to hold back the ocean? Who keeps the earth steady on an axis? Jesus, the Son of God was born, lived as a man, demonstrated His power, healed the sick, and worked hard as the suffering Servant of the Father. He was tortured beyond facial recognition, died, was buried, and walked out of the tomb victorious over death. On the cross, Jesus heaved out His dying sentence, “It is finished!” For ALL or MANY? By His glorious resurrection, He destroyed all the works the devil.

We deny the Liar and demolish strongholds of all the tormenting spirits assigned by Satan! QUESTION: Who is “you” and who is the “His” in Genesis 3:15? “In the beginning God the Father said “And I will put enmity between ‘you’ and the woman, and between your (seed) offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his (Who?) heel.” Our Lord’s feet were stricken, His heels were nailed to a cross. God’s way of ending the cosmic conflict, of solving enmity and delivering us from evil, was to send His Son as the perfect sacrifice for mankind’s pride, selfishness, anger, bitterness and stubborn will to determine who gets saved. Thank God for His plan of salvation and deliverance is for all! Did you know that salvation actually means deliverance? Oh Lord, deliver us from deception, and false teachers.

As His redeemed children, we are no longer prisoners of the prince of the air. We must pray to be set free from the deception of Satan, or from an addiction/ bondage to sugar, our preferred way, our own understanding, cell phones, or what the media says. We must pray to be delivered from the FEAR of tomorrow, or of the next election, virus, or tragedy. We must exercise our authority and take back the freedom that Jesus paid for. There are many Scriptures that direct us to pray for deliverance. Attendants in churches across the globe, in every denomination, yet struggle with dark habits. Boiling bitterness towards a mate, sibling, friend, boss or parent prevents folks from reconciling. To recognize that any unforgiveness is being a slave to sin, we humble ourselves and pray. By the blood of Jesus, any dark spirit that is at work in the partakers of disobedience has been destroyed when we proclaim “it is written…” I shall not live by my fleshly desires, but I choose to live by every Word of God and in His authority I shout “get behind me Satan!” ❤️ Ponder these words.

The Book of books has answers to questions that need to be asked. Jesus is called the Seed of woman. Gen 3:15 / Gal 3:16 Interpretation: Genesis 3:15 God will put enmity between Satan and the woman, and between Satan’s offspring and her seed; He will crush your head, and Satan will strike the heel of Jesus. Galatians 3:16 “The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.” John 12:24-26 “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves Me.” Read 1 Cor.15:51-52 and 1 Thess.4:15-17. These verses refer to Revelation 14:13 “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

1 John 3:8 “The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” We were gifted by the Giver of all good things. A great thing we were given was the gift of the Holy Spirit who goes before us, prepares hearts to receive whatever words we pray. Put your hands together and thank your Giver, Jesus Christ, the King of kings, Who is, Who was, and Who is coming back for His own. Hallelujah!

IF Jesus is knocking on your door, open it to Him and ask your burning questions. Your Creator never changes His mind, you are His cherished treasure and He waits for you to call on Him. “Ask and answers will be given, pressed down, and running over!” After you invite Jesus in, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in your heart. He is always listening. He will give you understanding and wisdom. He has the power to repair whatever is broken and restore whatever was lost. Embrace a new life ‘in Him.’ Be filled with wonder! His amazing, astounding, lavish grace never runs dry. Seek His best, and welcome a new freedom with increasing gladness. Isn’t it interesting how God puts specific people in our lives for a season? Thank God for the folks He chooses to test our faith, as He puts mercy in our hearts and words to speak and prayers to pray.
