A professor told his physics class. “If everything that exists was created by God, then God created evil. If our deeds define who we are, then God is evil.  The classroom fell silent after hearing this. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted proudly to his students. “This proves once again that faith in God is nonsense, God is a myth.”

A student named Albert  asked the professor: “is cold a thing?” The professor became indignant.”What kind of question is that! Of course, cold exists.” His classmates all laughed. The professor asked Albert. “Have you ever been cold? Albert replied, “Actually, sir, cold doesn’t exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Mankind created the  word cold to describe what we feel in the absence of heat. Cold does not exist.  Albert continued quizzing the teacher. “Professor, does darkness exist?” The  teacher snapped.”Of course it exists!” Albert corrected him again with facts. “You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but NOT the darkness.

We can use Newton’s prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. However, darkness is impossible to measure.  A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How does man determine how dark a certain space is? We can measure how much light is presented, but darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light.”  Albert then politely asked the professor. “Sir, does evil exist?” This time, the annoyed professor said: “Of course, as I said before. We see evil every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes, and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil.” To this Albert replied…

“Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a MAN-MADE WORD to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not a substance like faith or love. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine Love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s no light.”

Albert was brilliant, however, evil does exist. Smart folks without the Holy Spirit are without wisdom. Do not be deceived.

Matthew 4:1 “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the DEVIL.”

Matthew 10:28 “Do NOT be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the ONE who can destroy both soul and body in HELL.”

Genesis 6:5-6 “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only EVIL all the time. The Lord regretted that HE had made human beings on the earth, and HIS heart was deeply troubled.”

The Deceiver is real. Evil is real. Satan seeks to destroy and kill us. Hell is also real.
