Prayer

Matthew 27:51 Direct Access
At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split.

Our Father calls us by name and we are stilled by His peace and trust His lavish love and forgiveness.  Rest in this truth:  Our Father takes great pleasure when we seek Him.   “You are my satisfaction, Lord, and all that I need; so I’m determined to do everything You say.” Psalm 119:57 Our Father knows our hearts before a word is on our lips, therefore, prayer is every thought of good or beauty that He created. As we delight in Him, He reveals more of Himself.  God gets all the glory as we let praise take up space in our hearts. The next time you take time to pray your list of personal needs to God, remember the words of this Rabbi. “The purpose of prayer is not the same as the purpose of speech. The purpose of speech is to use words to inform. The purpose of prayer is to partake.”

Our Father invites us to come and be a participant with Him, to partake of His wisdom, peace, and joy. Our invitation is not to come and give Him a list of all that is wrong — with our ideas of how He is to solve our hard times. Our audience with the King is a privilege.  It is an invitation to come and partake in the highest privilege of man, to have a private audience with God.

Psalm 54:6 “Lord, I will offer myself freely, and everything I am I give to you. I will worship and praise your name, O Lord, for it is precious to me.” Great is Your faithfulness. Lord, unite my will to Your perfect plan. I rest in Your Presence and ask that You enable me to keep a good attitude in the midst of big or tiny trials.

My Spirit, soul, and body—I consecrate to You Lord, and I depend upon Your grace. Help me, Holy Spirit, to be fully devoted to obeying Your every nudge.  Remove any barriers I may have unknowingly created. Burn away everything that is contrary to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Trusting that every moment You are with me, oh Father help me see things through Your eyes. My heart bursts with joy as I remember the condition in which You found me. Thank You, Father, for giving me the opportunity to serve You.

While I’m in Your presence Lord, help me to partake, to receive all that You desire to impart. Thank you, Holy Spirit for giving me understanding as I read, write, wait, and act according to Your lead.  Make my next step clear.  Help me to be continually aware of Your Holy Presence — No matter what is happening.  Draw me closer to Your very real and nearby mighty presence. I believe that in Christ, I lack nothing.

I speak the name of Jesus knowing His very name is  resurrection power. Fill me with the fullness of Your glory. In every situation, Your love is there in spirit and providing clarity. I gladly surrender to Your unrelenting, devotion to teach me Your perfect way. Because You loved me, saved me, adopted me, and sealed me with the Holy Spirit, my heart flows from Your overflow of goodness. I give you my body, soul, life, plans, and dreams. Here I am, listening and praying that I bring You honor and glory with each step and response today. Oh Lord, I need You, every day I need You. You are my God, my defender and provider. Amen

Sing praises and change the atmosphere. Be still and know God is in control.

CS LEWIS on prayer 🙏

1. Authenticity in Prayer:  Be open, transparent, sincere and authentic when talking and listening to God.  Genuine communication with God involves honesty about our thoughts, and desires to see change in our friends and in ourselves.  HELP LORD. 👏 🙌 ❤️

2. Humility Before God: Approach the Holy Presence of God with humility. Recognize your dependence on God and acknowledge His sovereignty. Humility opens our hearts to receive guidance and grace in our spiritual journey.

3. Persistence in Prayer:  When we feel discouraged uncertain, fear, anxiety, overwhelmed, we turn to our Father in prayer. Consistent prayer cultivates intimacy with God and strengthens our faith.

4. Prayer as Relationship: View prayer as a dynamic relationship with God rather than a mere religious ritual. We commune with God in prayer and delight to be in His presence, as He aligns our hearts with His.

5. Listening in Prayer: Listen 🎶 to what the Spirit is speaking while in prayer. Allow space for God to speak to your heart. Quiet reflection and attentive listening enable us to discern God’s voice and direction in our lives. “My sheep know My voice.”

6. Gratitude in Prayer: Cultivate a spirit of gratitude in prayer.  Express thankfulness for God’s blessings and provisions. Gratitude shifts our focus from our needs to God’s faithfulness and generosity.

7. Intercession and Petition: Be excited to lift up the needs of others before God. He hears, He knows, and He provides the needed solution.  Humbly petition God boldly, trusting in His wisdom and goodness to flow according to the need. His way and will are perfect.

8. Prayer as Transformation: To be obedient and pray, even when we don’t feel like talking to God, transforms US.  It is a transformative process.  Our frequent communication with God shapes our character and aligns our desires with God’s purposes. Through prayer, we are renewed, empowered, and conformed to the image of Christ.

9. Silence and Solitude: Embrace moments of silence and solitude in prayer. Pause to reflect, to contemplate, and gladly commune with God. Silence quiets the noise of the world and opens our hearts to His divine presence.

10. Faith and Trust: God tells us to pray and NOT doubt. In other words “only believe”.  Prayer fueled with faith and trust in God’s faithfulness pleases our Father.  Trust that God hears our prayers, cares for our needs, and works all things together for our ultimate good.

He walks upon the water
He rides within the wind.
He is the Creator and Master
He resides here within.
He is gracious and almighty
His love is without end.
He is my faithful Provider.
All my needs He attends.
He is my soul Protector.
He guards and defends.
He is my Advocate and trusted Intercessor
For He’s Holy and Righteous
Son of God, Son of man.
He is our loving, faithful Father. A real, true friend.
He is always for me
On Him, I will depend.
I will continue to trust Him
And hold onto His nail scarred hand.

“No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:10-12.

“And when they had prayed the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” —Acts 4:31 – Specific Prayer can activate divine restraining orders from the Courts of Heaven. All courts whether natural or spiritual are governed by judicial protocol. HEAVENLY FATHER, I stand in Your royal courtroom because of the blood and finished work of Jesus on the cross. I have come to receive Your righteous judgment over my life. Heavenly Father, I ask that the Courts of Heaven be seated according to Daniel 7:10. I ask this in Jesus’ mighty name. Heavenly Father, I call upon Your holy angels to be witnesses to this legal and righteous transaction. I also decree and declare that all the demonic entities, institutions, and human beings who will be impacted directly by the divine restraining order that I am requesting will be duly notified by Your holy angels who service the Courts of Heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray. Heavenly Father, I decree and declare that every demonic entity, earthly institution, and human being will respect, honor, and abide by Your righteous judgment, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Stand on Christ’s finished work. Approach the Courts of Heaven based upon the finished work of Christ on the cross. Without this substitutionary work of our Savior, none of us qualify to approach the courts of a Holy God.  Then, ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and see if there is any unconfessed sin in your life. To “Repent” means to change your mind and reverse course. When we repent our relationship with God gets reset, and He gives us a favorable standing in the Courts of Heaven.

#4 Ask that the Courts of Heaven be seated to hear our case. We make this request in and through the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. It’s impossible to get a judicial ruling from any court of law if the court is not yet seated. #5 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16. When we approach the Courts of Heaven, we do so in a spirit of boldness and not fear. Fear actually works against us and gives the devil legal footing against us in the Courts of Heaven. This is why the Bible says a person who fears is not perfected in the love of God. 1 John 4:18.

#6 Present your case in the Courts of Heaven and wait for the witness of the Holy Spirit before we leave the courtroom. Romans 8:16. Then #7 Be persistent until the Courts of Heaven have rendered a righteous verdict on your behalf. The devil can only resist the Courts of Heaven from rendering a righteous verdict on your behalf because he still has legal grounds to do so. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what is in Satan’s evidence docket so you can render it totally useless. When your righteous verdict is rendered, you must RECEIVE it by FAITH. This is because everything in the Kingdom of God is received by faith. A VERDICT RENDERED by the Courts of Heaven is more REAL and consequential than any verdict rendered by a natural court of law. #8 Reinforce your righteous verdict daily through thanksgiving. An attitude of continual praise over what the Lord has already done is FAITH in action. God has made thanksgiving His direct will for all of His children. Thanksgiving feeds our spirit with a spark of HOPEFUL anticipation.

Thanksgiving feeds our spirit with a great sense of EXPECTANCY. MIRACLES only happen in SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERES that are charged with divine EXPECTANCY. Once the Holy Spirit gives your spirit the “witness” that the divine restraining order you requested has been GRANTED, it’s important that you maintain an ATTITUDE of THANKS in the aftermath. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” First Thessalonians 5:18.

Deuter 25:1 “When people have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges will decide the case, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty.” A modern testimony: A woman who had been through a devastating divorce attended church in Arizona. After the marriage ended, the ex-husband became a little bit of a knucklehead. Constant fights over custody were emotionally exhausting. “Pastor, I don’t know what to do. I am just so vexed.” “Would you like for us to bring your ex-husband before the Courts of Heaven and ask the Lord to impose a divine restraining order on his behavior?” YES!

“I am an officer of the Courts of Heaven. Give me his name, and we will ask the Lord for a divine restraining order about his  abusive behavior toward you until there is a final injunction from the courts in Arizona on your custody battle.” The woman and I went before the Courts of Heaven and asked for a divine restraining order. Within a week, God shut the ex down. Everything shifted. His abusive nature never changed, but he no longer harassed her. It happened quickly.  She hadn’t been able to take her children out of the state for vacation. After we applied the divine restraining order, the ex allowed her to take the children. Hallelujah

HEAVENLY FATHER, Your Word says that Jesus is my faithful Advocate before the Righteous Judge in the Courts of Heaven. Lord Jesus Christ, I summon You as my Advocate to help me plead my case before the Righteous Judge for a divine restraining order over my home. Lord, it is NOT Your will for my home NOT to be a place of safety and peace against spiritual forces of darkness, in Jesus’ name I pray. HEAVENLY FATHER, I present before Your Court the following SCRIPTURES as evidence You should use to GRANT ME a protective order over my home.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10. Psalm 33:20-22 “We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May Your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” HEAVENLY FATHER, based upon scripture, it is clear that if the Court does not impose a protective order over my home, the devil would cause great injury to my life, family, destiny, and inflict irreparable damage to the purposes of God. Heavenly Father, I repent for my sin, transgressions, and for the iniquities of my bloodline that may have opened a door for demons to attack the sanctity of my home. Lord, every sin of my forefathers that the devil is using as a legal right to build legal cases against me, to deny my destiny, I ask that the blood of Jesus would just wash them away. I ask that every legal right the devil has over my home be revoked, in Jesus’ glorious name. AMEN
