A charmed life is a life that is protected through prayer. Time set aside to PRAY for protection, wisdom, friends, provision, guidance, love, faith, discernment, hope and help…is thrilling when done with your BFF!

Our Best Friend Forever is Jesus. Ephesians 6 is our heavenly Father’s warning and His easy instruction on how to pray and WHY. Through our obedience we are protected from attacks, and the accusers condemning harassment. It is critically important to pay attention to what goes on in the invisible spirit realm day and night. There is indeed an ongoing battle for our souls.  BUT GOD, gives us His nuclear power weapon: PRAYER. Paul taught Timothy, 3 things that all spouses and parents teach by their determined example:

1. Fearessly live for Jesus.
2. Unashamedly live in Him
3. Passionately live for Jesus

Paul encouraged: 2 Timothy 1:8: “So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord. . . . But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.”  Gladly choose to sacrifice some time to be in fellowship with God the Father. He created us to engage with Him as His beloved child. Join with Jesus in the garden and cry out with Him to your Father. We will suffer hate, pain, rejection, and all kinds of cruelty in this life — just as Jesus did – but never alone.

Paul told Timothy, “Continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you KNOW those from whom you learned it” 2 Timothy 3:14. The Holy Spirit is the exact representation of Jesus. 24/7 we have access to Whom all comfort, wisdom and guidance flow. Become His best friend. Make the Holy Spirit your BFF today.

With great delight, we choose to walk and talk with our BFF.  Our silent example as a friend or parent is most powerful. As we choose to be in His Holy Presence, praying and receiving His protection, and His instruction, our faith demonstrates victory. Dare to be courageous, confident and absolutely committed to God’s work and God’s Word!

Our Father did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self- discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 Just imagine the JOY of the Lord radiating such a light that while in His magnificent Presence — that we are actually joined with Him. Before we were born, God Almighty dreamt and wrote about our future. He tells us that one day we will get caught up with Him in the clouds. Wisely we BELIEVE.

His Spirit indwelt me on June 19, 1985, but now, so many years later, I now prefer His company above all. Knowing God as my Father was a comfort. Knowing Holy Spirit was ever-present to teach me all things, kept me looking to Him rather than scholars. But knowing Jesus as the only personal friend I could rely on, that wisdom took a long time. Growing in Him through the filters of man made religion kept God at a respectful distance. As a newborn babe in Christ, Satan inserted thoughts of cruel judgement from a God that demands perfection. Feelings of being unworthy, or simply not good enough popped into my head regularly. In these transitory moments, all my personal hope to be used by God seemed absolutely impossible. Time with God shut the liar up for good!

Hanging out with my BFF in the garden, I came to an astounding realization. It started at 4:30 this morning under a full moon. The sweet sound of silence allowed me to enter the tingling Presence.  Giddy with delight I chose to write. After Adam’s goof in the original garden, God picked another Son of God, Abraham to demonstrate His desire to include us in His dream. That man would walk in step with God, and believe whatever our Father tells us. Yahweh has always wanted us to consider Him as our Father, who art in heaven, yet enjoy a close, daily relationship of trust with our Creator. “Look”.

God gave Abraham a dream of being the father of many nations. Our heavenly Father is both the dream giver and our dream interpreter and guide. When we trust and obey like Abraham, our Father will prosper us through friendships, and awesome divinely appointed times of fellowship. Even if your life seems to be that of a nomad like Abe, whatever you do, and wherever you are today, God is in your midst. “Only Believe.”

SHOW ME the WAY LORD and I will obey and be blessed because I trust God.  Genesis 12:1-7 NLT  The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.  I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”  So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed. Abram was 75 years old when he left behind all that was familiar.  He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth— Abram traveled through the land as far as Shechem. There he set up camp. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord.”
