Seek Truth

A historian born in 1906 observed what the government was force feeding the public in Germany and she was bold enough to write about its devastating impact.  “This constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore. A people that can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong. And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, remain useless. Without the truth, people are completely subjected to the rule of lies. With a brain washed society, government can then do whatever they want.” Hannah Arendt born October 14, 1906 died in 1975 knowing the tragedy of consuming lies and never learning the TRUTH. Do not be a victim of the Deceiver’s lies!

Truth in small print

We all have access to truth, but we avoid reading the Bible? Our character is developed by trials and suffering.  It is the stuff God uses to draw us close. As we choose Him, He remains in us so that as we suffer well, we bring God all the glory. “Bones and hearts will still break.” Our Father always tells us the truth, and His promise for no more suffering, is what gives us hope for an eternity with the ONE who loves like no person can. Our Father says “Come to Me, tell me all about it. Cry, vent, and I will comfort you and give you rest.” Reading the Psalms of David, we see how he lamented, followed by a release of praise. Joyfully we wait on God who satisfies us fully. “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His Word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5 ❤️  Waiting can be hard and unpleasant but GOD! In His grace, waiting is wonderful as He fills us with truth filled good news. We wait for outcomes, we wait for healing, we wait in anticipation of how He will turn the worst into His best for us. The proximity of His holy Presence has never been so close.

In 1961, German-American Hannah Arendt was sent by The New Yorker to cover Adolf Eichmann’s trial, in Jerusalem, Israel, where he faced execution for war crimes against humanity, atrocities against the Jewish people. He was a member of a criminal organisation. Her report proposed that the evil done was purposed.  The incalculable magnitude of his sins deserved death. She claimed that Eichmann was not a monster, but a bureaucratic functionary. He was a cog in the administration of a genocidal program. He was neither a fanatic nor a sociopath. He was an ordinary man who accepted the rule of his state, his party, and the ruler of his country. He was used by evil because of his inability or an unwillingness to think.

Hannah Arendt

When sorrow grips your soul, pray like Hannah.  “And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.” 1 Samuel 1:10 💋 Choose to pray, not grumble. When we pray our words reach God’s ears. Only He can comfort, ease pain, heal broken hearts, and reconcile us to His purpose and plan. The prophet Daniel prayed and history was changed, the apostle Paul prayed and cities were opened to the gospel. Hanna prayed and God lifted her burden and she conceived a child, then dedicated that child to God. Samuel was the first prophet. If you are in anguish cry out to the One who can change your situation.  His Way of teaching often requires a broken, humbled heart. God is still on the throne, and prayer changes us from being self focused to God centered. BE encouraged and read 1 Samuel 1
