Truth Is Told

Is the truth buried?

When we begin a sentence, “The truth is…” What is the source of the words we use to finish our statement? Is it based on our experience, or intellect?  Do we look to our past to find answers? How did this generation lose sight of God?  Nobody finds truth while rummaging through the past. This generation got lost while trying to fit into the ever changing ways of man. They lost the truth as they formed beliefs based on a lying narrative that avoids the power of the name of Jesus. We were once lost, but now we are filled with truth. To admit that we were once lost — bends the mind of those who promote their conclusion that faith in Jesus is for weak folks. Jesus answered, It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ With attention on  He who abides in us, His Spirit mixes with ours to make an eternal impact.

Matthew 4:4

Every Word of God has great power. “For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Matt 10:20. The truth is not found in the opinion of fools, but in the Words from God. Jesus spoke parables to cause us to dig deep for truth in ourselves. “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.” Matthew 13 – Unlearning any false belief will not be possible without admission that our own way of thinking lacks the power of the Holy Spirit. What happens as a person humbles themself to seek what the Spirit has to say? TRANSFORMATION!

The Holy Spirit enters as the Excavator. His reach below our surface, our thoughts, our ways— uncovers the Truth and we discover the joy of being called a “child of God.” He gives us a new life, with eyes that see clearly. We tune our ears to His heavenly channel. We hear the voice of God saying “Walk this Way and enjoy life in My abundance.” The LOVE of GOD is the mystery of God. What in mankind did our Creator find so loveable? We ask, He gives, we run away, and He runs towards us when we come to understand that we need His love. Even though people are fickle, His love endures beyond what we can fathom. Jesus gave us the ribbon that ties us all together. His blood, is the love that connects us. His Word tells us to get wisdom, so that we can eventually arrive at understanding His marvelous plan for us. The grand prize, is face to face unending time, without a veil, with the King, for eternity. In The Chosen, Jesus asks His disciples “Are you hearing Me? I will be handed over, then killed as a ransom for many!” Peter asked who is many? 2,500 years later, I raise my hand. I am in that number of the many.

Each prophet was called by God to warn their nation to repent. To turn from their ways and to inform people of the consequences of ignoring God’s commands. Today, God extends His full counsel. “Seek Me with all your heart.” His open invitation is that we humble ourselves, to seek His Omniscient Presence.   His mercy and understanding is available 24/7. In the past, prophetic warnings were ignored and the nation and it’s entire population were taken into captivity:

1. Isaiah

He warned the southern kingdom of Judah about the coming judgment if they did not turn back to God.  This prophet had his eyes opened in the 6th chapter.  “I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of His robe filled the temple.” Isaiah cried woe to me, I have unclean lips.

2. Jeremiah

Known as the “weeping prophet,” Jeremiah warned Judah about the 70 year captivity in Babylon. God told Jeremiah. “Before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah did not want the job of warning his elders.

3. Ezekiel

This prophet was in exile in Babylon when chosen to  warn the people of Judah about the destruction of Jerusalem and their ongoing rebellion against God. “The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest.” God gave Ezekiel a vision.”Wherever the Spirit would go, they would go.” Let it be that we are aware of the Divine Spirit and that our spirit is cajoined with He who is greater than the Deceiver.

4. Amos

A prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel, Amos warned them of their impending destruction due to their injustice and idolatry, which led to the Assyrian captivity. Although Amos was a rugged worker and formally uneducated, he received divine training directly from God while tending a herd of sheep in the wild uplands of Judah.

5. Hosea

Hosea also warned the northern kingdom of Israel before its fall to Assyria, using his own marriage to a woman of the street as a metaphor for Israel’s unfaithfulness to God.

6. Micah

This prophet warned both Israel and Judah about their coming judgment and captivity, especially for the corruption in leadership. Micah’s voice was heard 800 years before Jesus. He was the last member of the quartet of God’s chosen prophets to warn His people.  He thundered along with Isaiah, Hosea, and Amos. Micah was a preacher who lived near Jerusalem.

7. Zephaniah

Warned the people of Judah about God’s coming judgment.  All the prophets stepped into history to interrupt our selfish ways and to point us toward God’s will. Zephaniah’s urgent voice was heard during the reign of king Josiah. He told the people to seek God and repent.  He foretold that the idols of their enemies would be broken and the Gentiles will worship God.

8. Habakkuk

This guy questioned God’s use of the Babylonians to punish Judah. He recognized that the judgment was a result of Judah’s sin and rebellion. This prophet  asked questions and got answers!  Just like many people today, this bewildered man could not reconcile his faith in a righteous God with the troubling things he personally witnessed 700 years before Jesus. Truth is, living by faith is a challenge for all of us. He articulates humanities frustration with a God who does not act as quickly as we think He should. Faith is believing in the unseen. Walk by faith.

The most effective Way that we warn folks today, is by our example. Be a witness for God by refusing to gossip, or add any fuel to all the fear mongering.  Be His silent ‘quiet’ witness in the midst of the storm. “God is Spirit” and our human spirit alone is of the same nature as God – “and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit.” This means that it is entirely possible for our human spirit to mix or synchronize with His Divine Spirit! We cannot summon the Presence of God, we simply surrender to the Truth that He never departs. Page 33 of Release the Spirit.

As we surrender to His Way, we participate in His effort to soften the hearts of others through our spirit led words. On this side of heaven, we have the privilege to be His light in dark places. Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to OBEY everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Liz on Sept 12, 2024

Asked this question. “How do I know that I am a dual person?” The dual person is able to be in this world, physically in their outward person, while remaining constantly before God, as the Divine Spirit is cajoined with their spirit. Today, as Liz leaned into listen to all the Spirit had to say through me, a barking dog was comforted as Liz spoke, “Just pet the dog.” I saw that nobody pet the dog, but the barking stopped. Her outward presence was not divided from the Spirit within her. Our words bring life, comfort, and assurance.

Flawed folks used by God

The big question is, “Does God use people who make mistakes?” Yes, nobody since Adam and Eve has ever lived mistake free. Ezekiel was given a scroll to eat, symbolizing the words of God that he proclaimed. God told Ezekiel that the people will not listen to him because of their stubborn rebellion against God.
