Imagine the King calling you by name! He issues you a lifelong Spirit companion for guidance through these shadowlands. He anoints you as His ambassador, and He divinely positions you within certain groups. As a new creature in Christ, you have many lessons to learn. Humbly, you admit when you have discerned without His input. With forgiveness, you see correctly through the Father’s eyes. Oh God, thanks for Your patience and fresh mercies daily. In obedience, you rest in Him.

The discipline of the Holy Spirit is parceled out in lessons that shed His light. Our Father ordains the discipline that we need. When we walk in our own shoes, we step on His toes. Those with an unforgiving heart have a wounded soul, and they judge others. Out of a broken spirit, they can not discern their own needs properly. Without healing, one “discerns” through the lens of a past offense. Offense is purposed to distract us from truth. Do not assume the worst in people. The devil seeks to cause the kin of Jesus to believe everyone has ulterior motives. Resist his plot to steal what God teaches and what the Spirit shows you.

If you LACK the ability to correctly “discern” people’s gifts, and talents, but have no problem “discerning” the dark motives of the same people, the Spirit of God is calling you to look into the mirror of your soul. The problem is in your feelings. Dig deep below the surface of what you perceive. If you are usually suspicious, it is NOT the Holy Spirit warning you, sometimes it’s just YOUR TRAUMA triggering a fight or flight response. Untrue or false discernment will have you disconnecting from people and rejecting divine alignments with those God sent to help you.

The unhealed will often carry an unhealthy measure of negative discernment. Old wounds manifest as an undue warning. The inability to quickly forgive, or love unconditionally, or to pray without ceasing, comes from holding onto our own preconceived assessment. Dont resist God, resist the devil. Ask God for a heart that discerns the truth. The crisis act of consecration comes at the intersection of His Way and ours. God deals with our hard hearted way of resistance along the long journey of full surrender. The pathway of His Way includes a gateway into the persistent discipline of the ever present Teacher. Our soul has limited insights and understanding. We need the Holy Spirit to discern justly, and NOT be deceived by our own puny, human understanding.

As a citizen from heaven, we discern through our Father’s filter of truth, not through our feelings. His excellence of power is more than sufficient. The Spirit of God has set us free of any suspicion, as we discern clearly through His grace.

Genesis 41:39 “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.” Holy Spirit gives us eyes to see correctly. In His presence, we enjoy a hightened awareness. There is more than what our eyes see, or our body feels. The invisible, yet tangible presence of God comforts, guides, and ignites us with hope. Pray in the spirit. Oh YAWEH, I breathe because You flow in and out of me. Praying in the Spirit does not take any rational thought. We must submit, and let go of all resistance, moods, or feelings of the flesh. Praying in the Spirit is a function that does not require us to understand the words that emerge. Our mind, emotions, and body trust the heavenly communication.

Engage your spirit man first thing in the morning. “Here I am Lord, overtake me, Holy Spirit. I surrender my plans to You.” —-independent of all feelings, thoughts, or physical wellbeing—-all of those areas come into alignment with the Spirit.

Live abiding in He who is all powerful. Consciously unite with the Person of the Holy Spirit. We were created to live in the SPIRIT. Secondly, we were given emotions and a body to take care of. Stay connected to the Source. His input is different from any communication that we entertain. The Holy Spirit brings wisdom and understanding as He touches on certain things at any given moment. Praying in the spirit, our soul and body quiets so we get revitalized by the Holy Presence of God. Growth in Him —-is completely in agreement with what the Holy Spirit has already revealed in His Word. “he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

God’s living Words are NOT just poetic verses on a page —-They are food for the soul and meant to be our spirit known reality. We move and breathe and have our being “in Him”, to abide in every single day. Our unseen, interior spirit man was designed to live in a secure partnership with the Holy Spirit every single day. Our spirit man and the Holy Spirit move together as one. A spirit partnership brings the rest of you into alignment —-soul and body—- with the Holy Spirit. With that inward divine partnership, it is just as Paul said; “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me”. We were never meant to live from our own resources mentally, or emotionally, or spiritually.

Consider that your body is an overflowing cart of the divine. With a thankful heart, He enables us to clearly see the schemes of the devil. Our discerning spirit speaks and breaks the power of the enemy. Satan’s clever attempts to keep us in a stronghold of suspicion are smashed with truth. In spite of challenges, we submit and give thanks to God. Defeat the enemy and rejoice in victory. Maintain an attitude of gratitude for what He has already done.

Hand out forgiveness as a gift to yourself. Even a tiny bit of bitterness retards our spiritual growth. If you are healed, all the grudges are dropped, the offenses are erased, and all the pain is gone. Those with ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying, hear the abundance from which a broken heart speaks. Words of criticism exit the mouth of one that holds onto bitterness. The condition of our soul is revealed by our words. Capturing each of our thoughts, His Way is certain to reign in us. AMEN

Be careful what “Christian” people that you yoke with and who you align yourself with. The Deceiver slips in to corrupt through doors of envy and bitterness. Guard what God has given you and His anointing. It’s the Lord who deals with us efficiently to raise us up— and to get the message He gave us — out to others. God is busy raising up a new wineskin of folks who choose to stay submitted as His beloved, CONSECRATED remnant.

As children of God we ought to enter seasons of fasting and prayer. Not to twist the hand of God but to align our bodies to the will of God. Fasting humbles us and empowers our spirit man. We consist of the spirit man, the soul and the body. A submitted mind gives way for the spirit man to take charge of things. The Holy Spirit directly communicates with our spirits so when our spirits are in charge, then we are equipped to take on any spiritual challenge and receive insight and direction from the Holy Spirit. A surrendered journey on earth, is led by special guidance of the Spirit of God. When life feels scattered or cluttered, take notice that the spirit man is not as alert to the voice of the Spirit. Engage a season of fasting to humble the body and mind to allow the spirit man full preeminence.
