Delighting in the vast, everyday opportunities to praise God with a hallelujah! Our Father personally painted all the wild flowers with a word, and His eternal plan for us is marvelous to behold. He gives life to all that grows. Once you choose Jesus as Lord, and pluck the flower, or the corn cob from the Vine, our Gardening Father’s intention is always to bless. The corn feeds the hungry, the flower nurtures the spirit of His kids. Notice that in all things that our Heavenly Father water with rain in your neighborhood, growd. In Mexico grass grows up through the cracks in the cobblestones. “Even the rocks will cry out if we don’t. ” All glory to God as we marvel at how He makes everything beautiful in His perfect time. Some see just weeds not needs. Through our complex eyesight, we can see wonderous things or we see worthless things. Our God given sight is according to our chosen perspective. Two people lose their job, one complains bitterly, while the other one trusts that God has something better. What happened to those who complained they had it better as slaves in Egypt? God gave them 40 years of wandering.

We can build a drama series in our mind about why a person said no, or if they said nothing. Joshua and Caleb had a different take than the other spies. With their HOPE fixed on God’s promises, they had a fresh interpretation of the Jericho situation. The doomsayers were lacking faith regarding what looked impossible. Joshua and Caleb chose to believe God. How did Jesus respond to rejection? Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” God’s will is that we pay attention daily to all He has already done.

Test and approve God’s will today. Go out into His field of plenty and see how your spirit bursts open to receive all He has created for our spiritual and physical sustenance. As one of His many grateful wild flowers, He is actively growing me in unexpected places. Our life is brief on earth, like a vapor of steam over your morning coffee mug. God is worthy of all our recognition in whatever field He placed you in. The Spirit of God never departs. He waits for those with ears to hear His soft voice. Hope was stirred in Elijah as the ravens visited. 1 Kings 17:1-6, the prophet Elijah is sent by God to deliver a message to King Ahab. After delivering God’s message, Elijah is instructed to hide by the Brook Cherith. God provided for Elijah by sending ravens to bring him bread and meat in the morning and evening, and he drinks from the brook. “You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.” This account illustrates God’s provision and care for all of His children during a drought. Remember that God simply spoke and a galaxy exploded with light. The animals obey and they are thankful to serve us.

Birds fly high still carrying His unchanging message. “Look up to Me, follow Me, and Abide in Me, and I will fill your every need. May a traffic jam make you pause and chuckle as the Spirit of God works in every quiet or noisy moment. We live and breathe by His endless mercies. I am just a nobody that God chose, adopted, and filled with the Holy Spirit. He compels me to write a word of encouragement found in the weeds on this ordinary day. Love to all!
