A Luxurious Banquet

You are on the guest list for a lavish banquet that has taken years to plan. The food, the decorations, the finest wine, the seating arrangement, and exquisite music will be the finest anyone has ever experienced. The Guest of honor has been involved in all the details and He sent out His invitations way in advance. Did you note that the RSVP requires prayer?

Jesus extended us a privilege when He invited us to pray. As His honored friends, He filled us with the Holy Spirit, and encourages us that our Father listens with excitement for our responses, thanks and questions. Jesus, Himself taught us the perfect prayer… and this still threatens the devil. When Jesus gasped with His last breath “it is finished” the temple curtain was torn. Satan knew that humanity now had direct access to the throne of God. We are weak and easily tempted to put off time in communion with God. So many pleasurable distractions must be denied to be alone with God. The flesh often chooses to please itself, rather than sacrifice time in prayer. Our Adversary plots to destroy our reliance on God. His priority is to distract us from prayer, and to steal our faith in our Father who listens and responds to those who believe in His power, protection, promises and healing. Satan is a determined general of a vast army, with legions of demons. He is strategic in his plan to destroy the body of Christ. Courageously and victoriously enter a quiet, private, fortified place and command “Get behind me Satan, you are finished, Jesus is King, and your evil tricks will not distract my business with the King.” We will sit with the King at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb…and He will continue to surpass all our capacity to embrace His love ❤️

Revelation 19:16-17 “On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords. And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God” AMEN !

  1. Today, fortunately we were driven by a professional named Fortunado….to Guadalajara to renew my passport. Afterwards he took us to “Santo Coyote” a five star restaurant in the midst of this stunning pueblo. With great emotion and animations, Fortunado told us of his father’s gift 🎁 to support his private schooling to become a pilot. For 38 years he flew for AeroMexico and he lived in 17 countries. A great sacrifice for his dad which he promised to pay forward to the grandkids. Two of his sons are also pilots. Capturing the JOY of this day which erases the drama of 2 trips to ER last week. My heart ❤️ is full and I praise God 👏 for His continued favor.
