SELF- PITY – Victim – Poor me – Manipulation – Self- indulgence
Self-pity is the result of NOT trusting GOD. Like all sin, self-pity is due to disobedience. Self-pity is a choice of our will. Self-pity blocks God’s will and purpose for your life. OPEN DOORS to SELF-PITY and feeling sorry for yourself: Trauma, abuse, oppression, abandonment, rejection, hardship, persecution, poverty, sickness. The “poor me” person obtains power in their wretched condition. When a person constantly repeats their victim story it reinforces their victimhood versus living in VICTORY. The SOLUTION is PRAYER against the hopeless complainer who lives in oppression due to their victim identity.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for agreeing with the spirit of self-bitterness and practicing this false identity and programming of ___________(poor me) in my life and in my generations. Father, I choose to forgive my generations for handing down this heritage. I also choose to forgive ______ for instilling this programming and not teaching me who I am. I choose to release _____ and I cancel all their debt to me. Father, I give You permission to cancel this old programmed identity of being a victim, and I ask You to forgive me for my self-pity and I ask You to change me according to Your perfect will and design. Father, renew my mind. Your Word says that “I am Yours, and You are mine.” You gave me a new identity, and I am Your beloved “CHILD OF GOD”. In the name of Jesus, and by the power of His blood, I cancel all of Satan’s power and authority over me. In the name of Jesus, and with the authority God gave me, I command the tormentors that have stolen my identity to shut up and leave now! Holy Spirit please come and heal my heart. Cleanse and restore me and tell me Your truth. AMEN.
*** We will need to pray through many prayers because we have all believed many lies about who we are. God tells who we are. We pray to keep a pure heart. AMEN
