Make chatting with Jesus your daily top priority. In other words, pray without ceasing. As the world spins a new top narrative, remain focused on what the unchanging Word says. Daily we are tempted to tap into global information with a simple fingertip touch. Wisdom says to let the mind or soul that glories, glory in this: that the great I am, the Lord from the beginning to the end, exercises His loving kindness, with fresh mercies daily. God’s awareness of the thoughts and acts of mankind never escape His hearing or seeing. “For in these, I delight.” says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24 

To make the Word of God the highest priority is to train our mind to think on whatever is lovely, true, praiseworthy, and noble. To run the race before us and get God’s gold medal prize, with glad obedience, a follower of His superior Way remembers that we are to love the Lord our God with all our body, mind and spirit. The truth remains that some days it is easy to cope, and other days it is hard. Like David, choose to cry out and release all frustration. Talk to God before you make a decision. He dwells within.

Bathe your mind Scriptures. While soaking, you will find yourself singing praises that will lift your spirits.  The choice to tap into social media, the news, or into God — is a choice we freely make. “I know what I need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the SECRET of being CONTENT in any and every situation. Whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Phil 4:12 Questions

All training requires the discipline of surrender. We must choose what pleases God, over whatever we want. We never become weary of knowing that our choices please God. Today’s culture is consumed with pleasure-seeking. A mind that is dedicated to God, submits to God by allowing the Spirit freedom to guide us. Remember God’s Ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are nothing like ours. Isaiah 55:9

“Our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.” Philippians 3:20

Isaiah 55:9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways and MY thoughts than your thoughts.” God’s ways linger, lasting beyond time or space. Mankind’s ways vanish like a vapor.  Mankind’s thoughts fill books on how to rise,  a book that will be burned up in the Lord’s appearing.  BUT GOD, in the end we shall all come to know that His ways and penned thoughts are eternal and will never turn to ash. The gifts of God are for our keeping and for our intended delight. The Holy Spirit enables us to walk in confidence as our Lord never departs. We cannot calculate God’s ways, He does things in the manner most astounding. He brings us to the very edge of desperation, and by steady, yet trembling faith in Him, He rewards our trust with great surprise.  Gideon’s fear, doubt and reluctance was known by God. With a shrunken army, God equipped them with horns, pitchers and candles. His Way proved victorious against truly impossible odds. Be grateful for all that God gifted you. Faith, Grace, Joy, Peace, Security, Identity.
