We walk in the Spirit and delight the Lord Jesus by lifting our voices in song. Our hearts intent brings the Father great joy regardless of our lack of harmony. Our key purpose is to spread the joy of the Lord in the pueblo of San Nicolas. The plaza will be filled with kids and parents, food and music! A Chest Nut Choir will soon gather to bless a small pueblo this Christmas. We are His Village Saints.

“Chestnuts roasting” is associated with the classic Christmas song “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” written by Mel Tormé. The song evokes a cozy, warm holiday atmosphere, with images of friends singing by an open flame. Symbolic of hearts on fire for Jesus and holiday cheer, sheets of lyrics to a few popular Christmas songs made available to the Chest Nut Choir! Belva and Jerry can sing the tunes as their backup nuts chime in. “Los peces en el río” or “El tamborilero,” or “Blanca Navidad” (Silent Night) and “Feliz Navidad”. Festive Spanish favorites “Ven a mi casa esta Navidad” and “Arre Borriquito”.

Songs to sing outdoors as we walk the streets and ring bells to Christmas carol!
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire – Jack Frost nipping at your nose. Yule tide carols being sung by a choir, and folks dressed up like Eskimos. Everybody knows a ‘turkey’ and some mistletoe, help to make the season bright. Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, will find it hard to sleep tonight. They know that Espiritu Santos is on His way. He’s loaded lots of gifts and goodies on His sleigh, and every mother’s child is gonna spy — to see if reindeers really know how to fly… and so I’m offering this simple phrase – to kids from one to 92, although it’s been said many times, many ways – Merry Christmas to you!

The most popular songs:
1. “Silent Night” – A most reflective carol that celebrates the birth of Jesus.
2. “O Holy Night” – The lyrics capture the significance of the Nativity.
3. “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” – A joyful boast of Christ’s birth.
4. “O Come, All Ye Faithful” – An invitation to worship the newborn King.
5. “Joy to the World” – A jubilant carol celebrating the arrival of Christ.
6. “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano – Simple Lyrics:
Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Próspero año y felicidad!
I wanna wish you a merry Christmas, I wanna wish you a merry Christmas, I wanna wish you a merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart! —
Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad,
Próspero año y felicidad, ¡Desde el fondo de mi corazón! Feliz Navidad!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way — Oh what fun it is to push a one horse open cart! We will dash through the dust, all pulling together a cart of candy, over the topes we will go, laughing all the way! Bells on Rags tail ring, making all spirits bright, oh what fun it is to sing to our Mexican neighbors tonight!

Wear your most ugly Xmas sweater and prepare your hearts for some silliness! Off key voices are welcome to this choir. Our gifts will mingle with giggles and we will cause joy to burst in hearts as we sing! Oh Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining! It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, till He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices! Oh night divine, the night when Christ was born. Oh night divine! —- Let all within us praise His holy name! Jesus Christ is the Lord, let us sing Jesus, Jesus, Jesus in the village. Oh night divine, when Christ was born!

Bring a hat and gloves for our community Christmas Caroling evento! Bring a Xmas dish: Cheese ball, Pomegranate seeds, Chips, Salsa. Hoyle Hacienda will provide roasted weenies, hot cocoa, Agua de Jamica, tamales, and silly sock stuffers along with goofy head dressings to wear!

Pero mira cómo beben los peces en el río. Pero mira cómo beben por ver a Dios nacido. Beben y beben y vuelven a beber. Beben y beben y vuelven a beber.

But look how the fish drink in the lake. But look how they drink to see God born.
They drink and drink and drink again. The fish in Lake Chapala hope to see God born. The Virgin is combing her hair. Between curtain and curtain. Her hair is of gold, and the comb, of fine silver. But look how the fish drink in the lake. But look how they drink to see God born. They drink and drink and drink again. The fish in Lake Chapala to see God born. The Virgin washes diapers, and hangs them on the rosemary. The little birds are singing, and the rosemary is blooming! But look how the people drink in the beauty of all creation with hope to see God born in them this Christmas! Amen

Barbecued Chestnuts Recipe
1. Preparation. Rinse the chestnuts under cold water to remove any dirt. Using a sharp knife, score an X on the flat side of each chestnut. This helps steam escape and prevents them from bursting during cooking.
2.Soak (Optional) in water for about 30 minutes can help in reducing cooking time and add moisture, but it’s optional.
3. Preheat barbecue grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F or 200°C).
4. Prepare the Grill Basket or use a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Create a bowl shape to hold the chestnuts. Poke a few holes in the foil for steam to escape.
5. Grill the Chestnuts. Place the scored chestnuts in the grill basket or on the aluminum foil. Spread them out in a single layer. Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the foil package occasionally to ensure even cooking.
6. Check for Doneness when the shells have opened up and the inside is tender. You can test a few by peeling one open.
7. Serve: let them cool slightly. Peel while warm, as they are easier to handle, and enjoy!Season with salt or your favorite spices if desired. Barbecued chestnuts can be enjoyed as a snack or added to salads, pastas, or stuffing. Be cautious when handling hot chestnuts, they retain heat
