Speak Life

We the people of God have the awesome privilege to impart the good news that “God loves you”. These simple prophetic words connect people to the Truth, the Way and the Life God intends for all people. The goal of prophecy is simply to connect people to the empowering nature of God so they can become like Him and display His marvelous nature to all the earth. “Humanity is hardwired for discernment. We are born with intuition, and God created us with the ability to discern each other’s motives, hearts, faith-bible-verse-3lgifts, talents, and skills. As we pray, it’s easy to discern, feel, or sense things about the things we are praying about. This is a wonderful ability God made us with.  Our Father helps your spirit man use your spiritual eyes and feelings to know and glimpse the world around you. God gifts us with the sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch plus your inner spirit which He uses to connect you with His desire that we love ALL people.  When God sees a homeless person, a prostitute, a drug addict, a person with tattoos He does not shrink back.  See people through God’s eyes and love them where they are. That is the door for spiritual revelation. His Love will go beyond your thoughts, feelings, opinions, or faith. God wants you to be His presence, and be present with people, make eye contact, ask them what their dreams are, care about them, and love the people He puts in your path.  In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” Colossians 2:3  Words of knowledge comes through intimacy with Jesus Christ.  When we spend time in His Word, we connect to God’s heart, not just His principles, but the person of God the Father, His Son Jesus and the person of the Holy Spirit. “The prophetic works like a smart device to our spiritual love. It is the tool that accelerates relationship and creates connection with people, cities, countries, industries, and the world. Through it we see a very real glimpse of God’s heart and get to treat people exactly the way God intended them to be treated from the beginning. As with technology, revelation was not origjust meant to inspire prophetic gifts, but to help us live with a connection to how God feels and what He thinks. It is supposed to be our way of life—to see people the way God always longed for them to be seen and, from that revelation, to treat them out of his culture of love so that they will want to be the version of themselves we see.” (pg 17) “We should highlight love rather than information as the goal of prophetic ministry. I will bring insight into why God speaks, how he speaks, and how to steward and develop a track record of revelation.” (p 18)  “Jesus was so unconventional. He chose fishermen, tax collectors, and prostitutes, and he used them to reshape the world. Somehow he saw them through different eyes; they looked completely different to him than they did to the world around them.” (p 20) “Jesus wasn’t just a football coach who saw some people’s potential and was trying to upgrade them with his coaching ability. He saw them through a developed lens of love—the Father’s point of view. He saw them as though they were restored to their original design, God’s original intention, as though they had already fully said yes to his invitation of walking with him, even though they were not yet capable. He didn’t treat them as he hoped they would one day be, he treated them as if they were already restored. Jesus treated people with a worthiness.” Bolz, Shawn. Translating God (p20) “Simon Peter answered “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living 140630123142-9-canada-most-beautiful-placesGod.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. “ Matt 16:16-17 As we seek to know what breaks the heart of God, the Holy Spirit reveals what God is thinking and what He is doing in our culture through His people.  “Very truly I tell you, when you were younger, you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” John 21:8  Words of knowledge were used in Scripture to reveal a God who loves to share His thoughts, intentions, purposes, provisions. All divine words of knowledge were given to man so that we can fully relate to His goodness and eternal glory. Knowledge was given to help locate people, to give details that caused faith to grow, to show who to appoint as leader, who was in the womb, who would die. The Holy Spirit is the person who  instructs us in what the Father intends for His creation.  “In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” The Greek word for wisdom in this Scripture is Sophia, which is the knowledge of how to regulate one’s relationship with God.  The word knowledge in this same verse is gnosis, which in this context means to “to know experientially”  In other words, not knowledge gained through education or participation. Gnosis is an intuitive knowledge that is in the present. To know someone was to have deep intimacy with that person. Know in Greek is Ginosko, so to know God is to be intimate with Jesus so that He can impart via the Holy Spirit words of knowledge that comes from the mind of God. Our great Father God tells His people to pursue the spiritual gift “Pursue love and 39891-HolyBible-Bible-read-ThinkstockPhotos-585291064.1200w.tndesire spiritual gifts, and above all that you may prophesy.  For the person who speaks in another language is not speaking to men but to God, since no one understands him; however, he speaks mysteries in the Spirit. But the person who prophesies speaks to people for edification, encouragement, and consolation. The person who speaks in another language builds himself up, but he who prophesies builds up the church. I wish all of you spoke in other languages, but even more that you prophesied. The person who prophesies is greater than the person who speaks in languages, unless he interprets so that the church may be built up.” 1 Corin 14:1-5 There are many scriptures that speak about knowledge “He answered them, “Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.” Matthew 13:11  “ For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.” 2 Peter 1:5-7 “Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.” Psalm 119:66 “The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” Proverbs 18:15 Lord Jesus, thank You for assisting me in knowing Your heart and giving me words of knowledge that I may be a blessing to You and the Kingdom.  Continue to open my eyes to the gifts of knowledge within the Scriptures.  I desire the gift of ‘words of knowledge’  in my life and commit to continue to learn about this gift and how to effectively operate in it. Partnering with the Holy Spirit in my journey, I ask for the courage to step outside my understanding and into the wisdom of God.  I ask that You bless my efforts and that I learn through the risks that You will prompt me to take.  Increase my faith Lord that I may speak words of knowledge that will cause people to trust Your love and plans for them. AMEN -KNOWING OUR GOD ASSIGNMENT. If you want to fulfill your God assignment learn to be really obedient because God’s gonna raise you up to a position that you will not like or feel that you are ready for. All glory to God because He equips the unqualified to confound the wise. I’m gonna encourage you to embrace your God assignment. I’m gonna bless you right now to hear God clearly and regularly about His plan for you. I’m gonna bless you so that you are willing to obediently thrive in His plan and purpose for your life. Humanity needs you to show up and speak up for the Kingdom of God. I pray that God would fill you like He filled Moses, Esther, Peter, Paul, Barnabus, Mark, Matthew, John and Priscilla. Fill us oh Lord with the Holy Spirit’s cleverness and creativity. The word for filling means completely full. I humbly ask God that you’d be completely full for your God assignment on earth. I pray that you would feel full from God’s love, filled by God fully from His heart. I pray that you are full of certainty in His direction, and so filled by His Holy Spirit within you that you would actually feel God bubbling up and out of you. I ask that if any warfare against your assignment would be slain by the awesome power of God and His bigger plan for humanity through you. God is doing so well within your relationship with Him that you walk in a fresh confidence in Jesus. Place your hand on your heart as this is prayed over you. I ask God to impart in this season everything you need to hear to validate God’s assignment for you. It may come through a word of knowledge from someone else, b127ec5df0846712eb0c8c0ca3748b57through reading the word, through your deep worship, devotions or prayer. Let those moments be a catalyst so that you know God’s purpose for your life. I pray that anything that would war against our individual purpose would break right now. I pray in the name of Jesus that even this week in this month that Jesus would do a great download of divine knowledge of what His assignment is for you. I pray that the peace and clarity from God will instantly heal confusion.  Any discouragement that’s on you, I ask God to heal it. Lord speak to us about specific people, groups and specific territory to which you have called us to influence. Lord speak to us this week even if we’ve think we have never heard from You before. Speak to us and multiply the eagerness in us to be obedient. I pray that you would press in to hear from the Holy Spirit this week.  We don’t need any man to teach us how to meet with God or the Holy Spirit Himself. He will teach you. We release the Holy Spirit to make us teachable, so that we can learn all the things we need to know, things we could have never learned in school, or in seminary. Lord bless everybody who reads this prayer. Lord hover over us, speak to us, give us a heightened state of awareness of Your presence that we are compelled to obey and do that which You have made clear to us. Amen – God loves to take us on a different process than our personal hopes, dreams, or goals. God actually takes us into something that we wouldn’t even necessarily want to do, or feel ready to do. God puts people in our path that we wouldn’t necessarily want to serve. Remember Moses, Jeremiah, Esther, Jonah, Peter and talk-710x345Paul? They did not act out their personal plan, but they were obedient to God’s assignment. God wants us to say yes and champion His assignment. He is faithful to provide all the resources for it. He will equip us with the fortitude for it and we’ll do all kinds of things we did not necessarily want to do in life. God will give us the skill and authority to carry out His purpose, as we walk with Him, not necessarily before we say “yes”. We must allow ourselves to dream and see ourselves in the future living the life God has planned for us. In our youth we all had identity issues. However, now that we are mature, and our identity is based upon “Christ who lives in me” We need not be performance driven or a workaholic. All weird ambitions to be great have been replaced with the desire to know God and be used of God in small ways to make an eternal impact on humanity.  Christians today who don’t understand God’s assignment for you will judge you and try and police you away from your calling. That’s why we want to be a people who are obedient because when we’re obedient our friends and our family begin to respond to the love of God in us. They love us even when they don’t understand us. Be blessed “in Him”. The final exhortation of Paul in Corinth ” Be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like a man, be strong. Your every action must be done with love.” 1 Corin 14:13
