Our Father says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7 In the end of time on earth our Father also warned…Luke 21:25-28 “on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity.” In this context, the word perplexity means an absence of answers. What is happening right now in the world is a fulfillment of thus Scripture. The whole world is under incredible financial, emotional and physical distress—but there seems to be zero solutions. After 18 months of a world shut down due to the virus, there are no answers. Issues related to the virus—from masks to vaccines—have brought a “perplexity” as deadly as the disease. 47 percent of adults across the planet have reported negative mental health impacts related to stress.

With intention to connect with your Creator, go park yourself alongside a beautiful vista and count your blessings. Be still and know God is with you. Fill your mind to overflowing with all that is good and wash away stress and sorrow by giving sincere thanks. We trust, and pray with thanksgiving, or worry? Paul told us to pray, and pray with a spirit of thanksgiving. This means two things. 1st we express our gratitude to the Lord for all of the things He has already done for us. 2nd we pray with a thankful attitude that we have a loving Father who hears our prayers and always takes care of us. We are His grateful children! We trust that our perfect Father owns everything, controls everything, and is more powerful than any force that could ever come against us. His promise is that when we pray about every significant issue, and trust in the Lord, God will guard our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. In Greek the word “guard” means to “guard against a military invasion.” During this spiritual war, our minds have been invaded by the Liar. God’s promise to those who trust and pray during a period of crisis—is when His supernatural peace will literally shield minds and emotions against an invasion of stress, worry and the demonic spirits of fear. “men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth.” The word “fear” in Greek means phobia or terror. According to Jesus, in the end times, fear will become so intense that men’s hearts will begin failing them. Fear is worldwide right now, so let us not be subject to fear, but subject and fully submitted to God and PRAY with thanksgiving. Thoughts from Pastor Jimmy Evans on how to cope during these last days. Trust His plan, His Word, His timing, His way above all that you see or hear.

Pastor Jimmy Evans wrote Nov 29, 2021 “one-third of the Bible is prophecy, and most of it is end-times prophecy. When people ask me why I’m always teaching about the end times, I always ask them this question: Why would God give us so much information about the times we are living in right now if He didn’t want us reading about it and talking about it? It’s very important that we understand what the Bible teaches about the last days and especially about the most significant doctrine related to the end times: the return of Jesus. I wrote recently that the most important reason Jesus will return is because He promised to return. Jesus isn’t a liar, so when He says “I will come again,” then we as His followers better believe it…

2022 can be different if we examine our hearts. Pure hearts are free to experience the holy and powerful Presence of God Almighty. Forgive quickly in glad obedience. We must acknowledge any offenses that hide behind our smiles and make genuine amends. God knows the contents of our hearts. We fall, we hold grudges, we lie, and yet His grace transforms our blunders into blessings. God still redeems, heals and restores all who ask Him for help. A humble admission that we messed up will do. “God, I’ve been a prideful selfish sinner and I need to be rescued and forgiven.” Wake up with a fresh vision and clarity for the year ahead. Receive the gift of faith and a soul assured of His Promises. January 1st begins a new year and you get to choose to live it as a new creation in Christ. Immanuel, God is with us always, therefore, we win. Our God is more powerful than all the military of this world and His return to earth is imminent. BE EXCITED to trust Jesus in 2022 and be rewarded for your faith. AMEN
