Malachi 1:5-11 “You will see it with your own eyes and say, ‘Great is the Lord—even beyond the borders of Israel!’ — My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.
What this generation needs is HOPE. “I gotta have ____?” Fill in the blank. Whatever my flesh demands! More money, alcohol, coffee, a new car, sex, sugar, or validation from man to live in peace. If something other than God highjacks our priority, it is wise to repent. Jesus knew that the poor and the rich would struggle with their sin nature.
Ordinary people relate to the humility and patience of Jesus. God issued 10 commands to Moses — to which man added thousands of laws. Our Father knew we would fail to keep them. History proves that a strict rule following faith — actually twists the purpose of Jesus, Who fulfilled the law.
Romans 8:15-16 “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” As a child of God, the struggle is to remain humble, to deny my flesh and obey. Find JOY in surrender. People do not seek God to save them, they seek politicians to save them. They do NOT understood God’s promise of salvation to be very important. Eternity is not a concern to most because they live to please their peers, not God. When most people hear the word “salvation” they interpret it to mean things like,
…salvation from Government,
…salvation from taxation,
…salvation from disease.
PRAY for hearts and minds of people to be healed so that they might hear the good news and seek the Lord now. In order to experience eternity in peace, not hell — God sent Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice to cover the payment for thrir sins. Jesus came to preach salvation now, He promised salvation beyond this broken world. 💔 Find Christ where you left Him or replaced Him. “I sought him, but I found him not.”-Song of Solomon 3:1 CH SPURGEON “Tell me where you lost the company of Jesus, and I will tell you the most likely place to find Him. Have you lost Christ in the closet by restraining your faith in prayer? Then it is there you must seek and find Him. Did you lose Christ by the sin of unbelief? You will find Christ in no other way but by the rebuking, by the repenting of the sin, and seeking by the Holy Spirit to mortify the member in which the doubt or lust doth dwell. Did you lose Christ by neglecting the Scriptures? You must find Christ in the Scriptures. It is a true proverb, “Look for a thing where you dropped it, it is there.” So look for Christ where you lost Him, for He has not gone away. Bunyan tells us, the pilgrim found the piece of the road back to the Arbour of Ease, where he lost his roll, the hardest place he had ever travelled. Twenty miles onward is easier than to go one mile back for the lost evidence. Humbly heed the wisdom, reflect on where you doubted His Word. When you return to your Master, cling close to Him. How is it you ever lost Him? One would have thought you would never have parted with such a precious friend, whose presence is so sweet, whose words are so comforting, and whose company is so dear to you! How is it that you did not watch Him every moment for fear of losing sight of Him? Yet, since you have let Him go, what a mercy that you are seeking Him, even though you mournfully groan, “O that I knew where I might find Him!” Go on seeking, continue trusting, keep standing on His Word. It is dangerous to be outside His Word. Without Christ you are like a sheep without its shepherd; like a tree without water at its roots. With thine whole heart seek Him, and He will be found.” Be still, do nothing, just RECEIVE, for God never left you and He wants you well.
