With grace, we age to His perfection. “They worshiped the age after age Living One. They threw their crowns at the foot of the His throne, chanting, ‘Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God! Take the glory! All the honor, for all power is Yours! You created it all; It was created because You wanted it.” Revelation 4:9-11 The Message

Added years does not make us old, those years simply make us wiser. Long ago, the wisest stopped being what others would prefer. Boldly we now roam stores, carefree of the trend in fashion. Content as we are, we no longer seek the acceptance of others because we know Jesus has called us by name.

Mirrors cannot see into our souls and witness our beauty. Our reflection does not resemble our spirit. We are refined by life by fires that burn off whatever is not important. Any bitterness long ago confessed, we now bask in God’s peace. We embrace insomnia as a gift of more time to consider God.

Our wrinkles are evidence of a life well lived. Our creases of laughter are like tattoos of good memories. We read God’s Word to add His beauty in our hearts. We carry His refreshing in our souls. Our Creators hands have tenderly hugged us with His constant care and preserved us for such a time as this. The charming smile on our aged faces comes from our delight in simplicity. Our reigning ears hear our Master’s voice. We’ve been given added years to be a testimony to the grace of God.

Grow old with dignity and cherish the opportunity to be like Moses, Ruth and Daniel. Grow old and praise God for the extra time He bestows, for His pleasure and purpose. Pass on the value of your years. Perfection

As a woman north of 60, I love this post and know even in my old age, I am a green and tender shoot planted in streams of living water, producing fruit for the Lord!

Now in my 73rd year and loving every moment my Lord allows me to live. Wrinkles are like that of an old oak tree thriving as its roots suck up the living water….producing acorns for the squirrels that scamper to gather what they can.

“Aging is not about losing your beauty. I really don’t feel like I’m losing my beauty. I just feel like it’s a different kind of beauty.” Andie
“For me, the question of aging naturally and gracefully is resolved. NO BOTOX for me, I feel more honest without pretending. I’m embracing the 73 years God has given me. I feel really comfortable. In a lot of ways, my sag gives me swag. Ruth, Mary, Esther, Joanna in the Bible all aged confident that God does not look at our appearance, our Father looks at our heart. My age reflects the miles I’ve traveled on the highway to holiness.” Barbara
At the age of 64, Andie MacDowell raised a very significant point about the perception of aging women. The truth is it’s about our whole society. These questions should have been brought to light much earlier.
“What I would like for all of us to do is to stop and consider how we think about mature men and how we think about mature women and really start gauging what we say and what we project. There are changes that need to be made for my generation of women and the next. I just want people to reflect on it,”

Grey hair is our crown, wrinkles mark us with character. Our lovely creased faces display a humble wisdom that settles in after years of caring way too much about style, and name brands. We celebrate our golden years joyfully. Afterall, God called us by name. The King branded us with His name, the name that is above all other name brands. We are blessed to remain living in the generation that will never pass away. We were chosen and brilliantly equipped to represent Jesus as His anointed Ambassadors of Peace, Grace and Hope. We shine with His light — in order to attract those held captive by things that will pass away. The only thing we can take with us into His promised, glorious, holy eternal presence—is more souls. So be who He created you to be. Be still and know that God uses ordinary aged people like us to be His witness of FAITH in Jesus. The power of our testimony defeats doubt, fear and all evil opposition. We use the talent He apportioned for His purpose and glory. Victorious to the end.
