Antichrist Spirit

In the Bible Jesus appeared to John. John was caught up to heaven and wrote what he saw, the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God. John is the only gospel writer that gives insights about the Antichrist. Now that this 2026 generation will not pass away, it is wise to consider what the Bible has to say about the man who mimics the Christ, but who actually embodies the spirit of Lucifer, the fallen angel who was full of pride.

People that say, “I believe in Jesus”, but still speak with immense pride, do we check their fruit?  Humility is the evidence we look for before we trust the voice. Scripture warns that many are lovers of themselves, not God, especially in these final days of the church age. Fear God, get wisdom and discern aptly.  The truth tells us that “pride comes before a fall.” A warning against self promotion. The book of wisdom says it this way. Proverbs 16:18 ESV “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”  Pay attention if the one speaking always turns the dialogue back to themself. A haughty, self-made arrogance is nauseating to a true believer.

Paul said, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3. All of humanity lives and walks in the flesh.  All that we do in this earthbound realm is in the flesh. We eat, exercise, breathe, sleep, and think in the flesh.  Paul knew he was locked into his body-bound flesh.  All humanity remains in this same state of being body-bound until death. For believers, our carnal bodies will in a twinkling, be gloriously transformed into a new spiritual body.

Led by the Spirit, Paul knew there was no hope of accomplishing anything good through his carnal man. “We do not war after the flesh.” The word war refers to the militant attitude of a trained soldier.   Spiritually speaking, Paul’s own mental attitude was much like that of a soldier. He was so committed to experiencing victory that he sought to draw the enemy’s blood himself. Paul declared that he wanted to preach the gospel in the regions beyond. 2 Cor 10:16
Paul was willing to go into cities like Ephesus and Corinth, which were citadels of sensuality and demonic activity. Paul was an educated front-line soldier of the Lord. Yet, when it came to dealing the enemy a blow, he knew that his intelligence and his education did not count. Paul’s flesh, regardless of how impressive it looked or how loud it roared, would be no match for a spiritual foe.
